Look and be scared at how many don't want it.
Some highlights:
Currently I have no plan to get RMT advertises in dungeons.Too stressful. Not sure, if you are in a dungeon and you are afford to spend time on chatting...... there is really something wrong here. Where is the respect to other 3 people in the party?I really should make a terrible OF thread again, was there a reason why we don't have it anymore?I don't want those running the dungeon with me paying attention to anything other than their job. Same reason I don't want my employees talking on their cell phones while they work. Too many times, some maroon is more interested in getting his next show queued up on Netflix or going AFK with no warning; I don't need that compounded by fools sending tells.
If it were up to me, FC chat and linkshells would be banned as well.
I would have to post 10 pages a day due to all the terribleness. The Healer subforum is pretty bad in that the White Knight Brigade thinks Healer DPSing is a joke and you should watch netflix instead. It's always the same rehashed empty counterpoints too.

I'm not shocked by the response of the masses; they're always idiots who can't be bothered to get the important cross-class abilities and don't understand the potential of their respective class. I'm just surprised that many of the basic features in modern MMOs aren't in this game simply because they wish to cater to their small, JP audience. If their mindset was to design a game for the JPs, then don't fucking let others play.
The fact that we have to create threads for such mundane requests like these speaks volume of the ignorance of Yoshi and his laughable team.
The official forums don't really make much sense. People are so quick to defend SE and shoot down any good idea coming up with insane excuses like "But if you made coil have no lock outs people would sell runs!" which doesn't even effect anyone playing the game and brings 0 negatives to the game that actually effect anyone but a bunch of positives that make the game much more fun and enjoyable with more replayability.
It's just so mind blowing how quick people are to defend SE on the official forums and how they'll blindly defend every decision SE makes no matter how stupid and dumb it is. They're actually detrimental to the game, if SE actually reads and listens to our feedback, having all these people posting their opinions that they're ok with very badly designed thing is detrimental to the future of the game because SE will see people are ok with it and not change it. It gets to the point where I think they all must be trolling, because some of the stuff they defend, like the previously mentioned no tells in dungeons, cannot possibly be said by a human with a working brain. There's no way someone can defend no tells in dungeons, yet you'll see numerous posts of people defending it and saying SE's in the right. How can someone love a game so much that they so blindly defend it in ways that are actually detrimental to the games future?
I'll never understand their logic, I put all those posters on my ignore list so I don't see their stupidity, yet they're allowed to run rampart and I get banned for calling someone annoying and never adds anything to discussions, who was actually being annoying and not adding a single thing to the OP's topic. If I was in preschool a teacher wouldn't yell at me for caling someone "annoying", why is that worth a 10 day ban on a forum?
The JP's forum is much better, they don't seem to have many trolls and seem to keep all their discussion in a single thread. I hope SE listens to them over us, they seem to say "no" to every simple request though. Can't even ask for the armoire system to be useful without a "no, we intentionally added this so it's useless". Really? The JP's seem to have the same problems with the game a lot of us do. No reason to leave the world, coil lock outs and statics creating an unhealthy environments of statics where people can't help their friends, leveling being too fast, game feeling like a lobby and not an actual world. They really hated the anonymous nature of the duty finder, I think that's why they're adding that LFP same server board, but I think that should've been added in 2.0.
All in all the moderating on the english official forums doesn't make much sense. I see trolls running rampart, people posting pictures with no text as replies, people assaulting others, and other stuff going unchecked, but then threads like this one I saw earlier where someone said "This games combat is bad" and listed why it's bad, with no cursing, insults, or trolling, and simply stated the .3 sec lag, the animation lock making off-GCD abilities not go off, and the overall clunkyness of some things. This thread got deleted, and there was nothing wrong in the thread. They need to figure out how to moderate a forum, because the way they're doing it they're banning the only reasonable posters, deleting reasonable threads, and leaving troll bait, trolls, and idiots to run rampart. The way they're moderating makes no one with an actual brain want to have anything to do with their forums.
That is exactly what I was after. I'll be damned if I camp another 3 hour window, 24 hour spawn NM again. I would just like to see a little variety, and some open world action. Hate me for it, but I enjoyed spending an hour or two farming a trigger for an NM (alky, as an example) and possibly walking off with several million gil after selling some bracelets. Just something to do when I have an hour or two to play and don't want to queue up an instanced raid. yada yada
But I stand where you do in a sense, certainly don't want just a carbon copy of XI. but there is some solid groundwork that they could build off of in regards to it
I'm not sure you could sell all of Coil.
You absolutely could not sell Turn 4 or 5. The DPS checks are too tight. There would have to be strict requirements to who purchases the slot.
In a way the game right now is worse than the stagnation of WoW that drove me to quitting that game. At least there you could do PvP any time you finished your endlessly repeating random daily heroic queues for the week.
I'm pretty sure the game is going to crash if PvP isn't really fun and has lasting replay value. Even CT and more Coil does nothing to fix the issue. You get a couple more bosses on your one-day clear.
Agreed, I miss in FFXI and WOW where if I had "nothing" to do I still had plenty of crap I could mindlessly do while chatting with friends or even do with friends while chatting with them. Camping a random NM, going up to sky/sea and killing random crap for easy gil, farming some random zone for easy gil, skilling up a weapon, working on magian trials, fishing, crafting, camping a town hoping some alliance lands and I can gank them, camping black rock mountain, camping light's hope chapel, going to EPL/WPL to gank, going to that scarlet zone by light's hope to gank gold farmers, duoing barman shanker, running a dungeon as x2 rogue for chests or stealing or for a boss, running a low level dungeonto gear a friend or just for gold, griefing people in Ironforge who port in or flight path in, attacking a town so world defense is spammed and people come...
It was really a lot of stuff I could be doing when I was done progressing my character for the week or didn't feel like grinding anymore. That's what this game needs, that's what this game severely lacks. It needs things to do that are random and fun and interesting and can take up lots of your time, while still being enjoyable and don't progress your character in any way, but is just ways to spend an evening on the game where you're bored but wanna play with your friends/guilds/fc/ls. This is what WOW has lacked since vanilla for me, flying mounts completely killed world PVP except for the two islands they added, one in TBC and one in MOP, but I don't know how active the MOP island is since I didn't play MOP at all. I just want to be able to log into a game world, and have fun stuff I can be doing to bullshit and laugh with random friends or even alone.
I'm scared we'll never get those things.
1. No repair kits or ways to ways to repair while in an instance
2. GW2 talking on this one, but lack of cross-server communication. DF is the exception, but still limited.
Can't change jobs in an instance and have to be the right DoH to repair. so if weapon breaks mid-run you're fucked.
I'd love cross server parties (its especially baffling it doesn't exist given they are trying to pander to the casual crowd and the majority of said players will spend all their group time in the DF). I'm sure if you posted it on the OF you'd not take long to get a retarded reply like "why dont you just transfer servers if you want to play with a friend?"
Really hate how useless repairing is in general, I started leveling crafts before they nuked repair costs. It wasn't my main reason for doing it, but it seemed like a nice bonus. Now repairing is such a hassle because you have to change to each individual class and they made the interface for it absolutely fucking awful (why can't I filter by % durability remaining, grade, or failing that, just having a option to display fucking everything like someone with an ounce of logic would've put in). Unless you are dirt-poor it's not really worth all the shuffle when I can walk up to the NPC and repair everything on myself in two clicks for lol2k tops. I pretty much only do it just because I can.
