Also to add LOL to those "new" armor models. The fact that SE is telling people that are already way into end game to farm these gears for the looks, and dropping those ugly ass models is suck a joke.

Man, what's up with EVERY tank wanting to SR WP now? Even when the pt is obviously unprepared for it. (DF, fresh 50s with few DL pieces, no relic and still using some 49 accessory)

At least new-50's follow target markers. I hate tanking pickups with +1's and Allagan gear. Those jerks just attack whatever they want, and not even AoE so things go faster. "But it's just trash mobs, it's hardly Coil is it? *sips wine and replaces monocle with a bigger monocle*"

It's kind of like how Kindergarteners still know that they're supposed to look both ways before crossing the street, but around middle school there's just no time for that shit because puberty is confusing and they need all of their mental faculties to figure out what's going on with boobs. Even though that rule is there for their protection.

As an aside, I'm not really surprised someone could level multiple combat classes to 50 and still have not set foot into Coil. Leveling doesn't require 7 others and can be tackled in piecemeal segments. And while I have 4 others on my end I could potentially pull into a group, 2 I don't trust in respect to skill and reaction times, while the others basically play 6 hours apart from each other. Could I PUG it? Sure. Do I want to stand in MD or Wineport shouting for hours? Not really. I'd rather play, hence capping all crafts, working on MIN/BTN still, and still deliberating between my next 50 choices. Basically got a couple weeks to get another 50 up while doing the tome capping thing. CT will be a nice fit on progressing them even if I'm not entirely wild about dungeon spamming in general.

Why can't we /emote "Name" ?! I have 'Other PCs' display name settings off and feel like a dick when I don't /wave back at people because I don't know where they are and can't target em! Sometimes I'll be courteous and /ta "Name" and then acknowledge em.. but c'mon. Ain't nobody got time for that.

They have Allagan gear & relic +1 so they're invincible and they do what they want even to the cost of the party. Until you get pissed off & let them die on the said trash mobs. Then they QQ & leave.

When it does happen take it with a smile, if you're tanking you're fine. Their choice/responsibility if they want to queue for 35-40 mins again ^^

Yeah I don't understand GW2, the content patches they put out seem really awesome and unique. An outdoor dungeon that you can't solo? Sign me up! Then I log on to do the content and I'm bored after only ~1-3 hours of playing with no motivation to log on again. Not sure what's wrong with the game, I played it non-stop for 4-6 months at release but I just feel no motivation to ever play it more than an hour every month or few months now.

The game lacks substance I guess? I can't figure out what makes the game so boring so quick for me now.

I didn't play much after 3 months, but for me, it was the idea that after I finished all the POIs/finished the map, I'd be grinding for vanity items/skins and that really didn't appeal to me. I like a vanity system if it is there to cater personal tastes when there is something substantial to back it all up. GW2 more or less got rid of the trinity and replaced it with a lack of class identity and heavy emphasis on skins. I'm not trying to start up more complaints about DF or the trinity in other games, but as far as XIV is concerned, with DF at least it's possible to get a lot of the content done.

GW2's boner for temporary content doesn't help my interest there, but open world endgame also suffers from a hell of a lot of nothing worthwhile to do once you 100% the map. Can't say I like how they handled ascended gear when it finally did come out, too. There's other stuff I'd like to see that game improve upon, too, but this isn't really the place for it. I just hope SE doesn't get the idea that "events" can compensate for permanent content, as the two we've had in XIV so far have been pretty fucking lame.

You are kinda missing the point. You don't SR in DF in AK/AF gears with a group of undergeared strangers (often without even bothering informing anyone, they just go and pull 3 group at the same time) that maybe don't even know what the hell are they doing.

I still don't blame them, I encountered so many people who wanted to do SR trough DF, With or without relic, its how it goes nowaday. These silly fresh Lv50 might be alts chars or new to 50 tanks who've been dragged down the SR-lobotomisation.

Early I ended with 2 DRG Ifrit weapons iLv60/70 gears & 1 WHM with DL weapon, they wanted to SR, I made sure we'd do it normal. WHM could let me die on 3 mobs so I don't even want to think 4 or 5, let alone 6+ >.>;

First time in weeks I DFed someone for WP. Only one person. The healer. Was it really too much to ask for? He just ran over to the place where the stalker spawns and kept standing there. And standing. And standing. Casting Protect on him. And standing. Doing nothing.... >_>

I really don't want to do a GW2 vs FFXIV debate, but do I wish they took a page from GW2's dungeon mechanics for the coil. However I guess I shouldn't really expect that to happen since for whatever reason, they went from a currency system for primals in V1 to RNG only in V2. Yeah I know currency was RNG to, but still a step backwards.

As for WP I really hate tanking that in DF now. People either don't know how to count or run ahead of me. Gotta love when people trigger the last stalker before king just because I went to pull the two tonberries down to us.

I just read that the PVP will be somewhat anonymous; you won't see someones ingame name, instead "Fresh Meat" "Human Paladin" and so on. I'm unsure if this is still happening in premade queue, if it is I'm out of words to describe how retarded this is. On what fucking planet do these guys live, who makes those decisions please?

You can see the Fresh Meat name used if you look for Phase 4 Beta pvp vids on youtube. It shows name/server/damage/heals after match.

So chances are you'll have to ID roles by quickly marking, gear, or whatever.

Yeah the whole temporary content is a bit of a drag when it comes to GW2 but its more the development style they have in place now that makes these updates so continuous. Not saying Anet is the top tier developer of MMOs at this point, but they do alot of things right when you get down to it.

The current mindset of MMOs seems to be do nothing for 4-6 months and release a massive content update, I'd rather have smaller updates coming every month or two just to keep things fresh because i know alot of people who have stopped playing because they're bored of running the same dungeons & 1 raid every week or any other reasons.

Just had a DRG that got people killed on Psycheflayer by letting adds run amok (completely ignored them and didn't let the relatively new tank know to grab them), died to the first Repel on Demon Wall, and nearly wiped us to Anantaboga (seriously, people were only at a few hundred HP by the time it died). And talked down to the party super condescendingly. And lost to me pretty noticeably in the parse. Oh yeah, and this guy somehow had a fair amount of Coil gear.

I wish gear was any indication of skill, because holy crap, that was a rougher AK than the ones I get where everyone's in Darklight or Ifrit weapons and ilevel 55-60 gear.
