Sure, there is a delay for everyone, as everyone knows.
But when it comes to High Voltage/Eruption/Voices/moving out of shit it's generally NOT the game/server's fault.

I am prety much halfway around the world from the server's physical location, played on two different servers (Started fresh on Odin then moved to Excalibur) and I have yet to notice any lag after I got new PC.

Sure, servers lag from time to time, and it could be worse on one server than on others, but on the two I've played on so far (3 if you count Kujata, which is halfway around the world in the other direction) I have yet to blame the game for anything that went wrong after the PC upgrade.

Also, when you consider that one member of the T5 world first clear is said to be from Australia or something, you need to ask yourself if most people who complain about lag don't just need a better PC, a better internet connection or both.
Again, it "could" be different from server to server but on the servers I've played on so far, it's mainly players not being able to do it properly rather than the server not allowing them to.
(THIS IS NOT counting animations like for Benediction, Hallowed, etc. Those are still bullshit)

As for an earlier discussion about having no content.
I work 6 days a week 11 hours a day from 11AM to 10PM on tuesday-saturday and a couple hours on Sunday during rush hour at work. I started on a new server and still have 5 classes at 50 and full DL + relic for all of them.
SCH/WHM and BLM/SMN share DL gear and I only use PLD for coil/myth. But that's still 3 full DL sets with not a whole lot of time to play compared to others.
I'd personally also say the complaints about not having sufficient content are legit but I also just deal with it and hope from 2.1 forward stuff will get better. And atleast a bit more challenging.

I subbed for 180 days and that's pretty much what I'll give the game to improve.
I really want this game to be good. But in all honesty, I'm also already looking at other MMOs that are to be released cause this one bores the shit out of me atm.

Which brings me to people complaining about CT gear.
Yeah, it probably won't be worth anything to gear my PLD in CT, but having more classes that I don't spend myth on cause of PLD, I for one look forward to still being able to upgrade the gear for my other classes.
Sure, it won't be as good as Myth/Coil but I'll still be able to gear them beyond what's available now, which I can't really do currently wthout slowing down progression on my "main"
So, atleast to me, it's not just for vanity slots.

Probably varies group to group (most likely depending on pld) but I always roll with requiem during kill phases. As a PLD, you can riot blade back MP while juggling flash to hold hate/other CD to reduce damage. Also the WHM benefits from it as well via holy.

Though I have met groups where the tank literally depends on ballad just to keep hate, so I could see that.

Any combination of healer + myth that isn't the same set for both legs & body is retarded.

It's a combination of both imo.

I used to have some really aggravating delay issues which made it hard to evade supposedly easy to dodge AOEs when the game was first released. It has gotten a lot better since, but it's not perfect. I'm pretty sure that I have a noticeably more narrow reaction window than others do.

This, combined with the animation locks that you get from using a brd's usual dps ability spam makes it easy to miss a silence. Sometimes you can even see the silence animation but the action is never recognized server side. However, once you get familiar with the timings (for HV at least) you know when you can stop doing stuff to prevent that from happening.

When I can hear my ls mates calling out moves like HV or voices on Skype before the casting bar has even appeared on my client I realize that something is really off.

I used to have this when I had my old PC and before the delay fixes.

I always thought eruption and voices were like a half second casttime cause that's literally all I would see from it.

But honestly, after a new PC (My old one was fast enough but just full of crap and I wanted a new one anyway) and the delay fixes SE did it's all been running real smooth.

Hell. Sometimes even I think "crap, I'm gonna get hit by this Landslide/Weight/ADSAOE/etc" and it won't hit me cause I'm just out.

On my screen though, everyone else always gets gets out of stuff late but no one actually gets hit, lol.

This last bit is why I think PVP won't be as good cause it's generally really responsive content.

Random complaint: The Turn4 startup cutscene crashing the client. PS3, PC, it doesn't discriminate, will hit anyone it pleases, which seems to be a 50% chance on my static.
