FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

If you are doing Sylph quests to raise your reputation and the npc offers you "The Magitek Menace", don't fucking take it.

It is yet another fucking quest this update with no objective beyond "find this specific FATE and participate in it" because boy howdy that wasn't ruining enough shit yet.

Both a praise and a complaint: I just got my allagan spear and I can't even use it efficiently because I still don't have allagan hands, legs and other key pieces after 12 weeks of Coil runs

At least there's the CT and Extremes/Ultima now but goddamn do I feel like a jackass with this weapon and my current DRG gear. Still happy though!

Sure, then you remove all the bronzepieces and I guess relic precursors from WP chests, replaced with x-potions and x-ethers. Anyone know if they just moved it to AK instead? Still pissed either way; backtracking for money was the highlight of monotonous WP for me.

People being all goody goody in DF, most probably due to the commendation system. >_> It's rather embarassing and silly how "nice" some people are acting just to earn some vanity mount. So much "^^" and smilies that I'm getting sick lol

Apparently there's a bug with a Relic Reborn (Artemis Bow) where Bards don't get credit for Titan? Helping out some random Joe Schmoe and he's not getting the quest to update and I think I read/heard somewhere it was bugged and I just feel awful for this guy lol cuz he's all MAN SO GOOD TITAN KILL

It's nice that people are socializing for a change, but if anything, use of smilies makes me feel uncomfortable.

I start sleeping a healer, 50% through my cast she starts casting sleep on me, my sleep goes off and her cast bar is at 50%, 1 second after I sleep her and move 2 steps she sleeps me. We're both asleep.

How the fuck did they think releasing PVP with such shit netcode/clunkyness in combat was a good idea?

Maybe I'm just weirded out by all the "good job" "gj" "nice work" over trivial things like killing bosses, but over-complementing stuff is silly from all the roulette I got today. It does feel nice to crush qarn in a 3/4 relic party though.

Also what the fuck ground effects (Shadow Flare, Flaming Arrow, Sacred Soil) don't show up for people other than you.

I think they removed them bronzepieces entirely in favor of all dungeons now having mobs drop gil. This way there's no 'wasted' gil generation for parties which skips chests from start to finish entirely and exit without nobody backtracking.

Random Complaint: Did they change how strafe works, or the alt key? Because for some reason I'm noticing weird random stops when I hold the alt+direction when strafing, which is what I have it set as, and I try to use skills while doing so.

I went with a couple friends and we had a blast, but the "ohmaigod pvp in final fantasy" sheen wore off pretty quick after about 2 matches when we realized that it's just 1 tiny arena. I've never been a "professional" PvP player or anything like that but the lack of variety annoys me more than bad balance, personally. Though, I don't play CC so I can only imagine how annoying something like what you described would be.

I don't know if anyone else has been getting this, but I've been queuing in DF and I consistently (probably about 10 times now) get a "error in the duty finder server" sort of message whenever I click the ready button. The weird this is that it only happened with stuff I selectively queued for (Tried Qarn, Stone Vigil and some Guildhests), if I did random roll I got in pretty much instantly. I'm guessing the random roll that precedence over just queuing a random dungeon somehow, but I hope that gets fixed soon.

Seriously I read what you guys have said in the last 3 pages & I can confirm that what they did is absolutely awefull, like someone else I camped a CT fate for 2h & missed it cos I went to fucking pee.. Did SE want us to have bottles under our desk or what?

@ CT: I tried it once, ended up with a very talented BLM in my PT who cleared it before us, so he tried to explain to us but people would not listen to him or wouldn't let him finish his explanations. There was a WAR called "Little Hero" with us, the guy should call himself Little Fool instead, he would run into the boss like an idiots even after wipes, even interupting that nice BLM explanations.

Lots of people ragequited as well, we ended up in front of KB with 25 mins left. How awefull when our FC has the ressource to go..

can confirm, seems to be many steps (some people losing quest after hydra kill, after killing the 24 beastmen, AK not giving glyph, etc.). no reward for HM primal fight, or if you turn in a different step it says you do not meet conditions with the list of conditions blank and then disappears from quest log. can't be reinitiated either.

to make it worse, I dared to try out pvp last night when I realized I wouldn't be getting my bow anytime soon. three straight DF groups bitched about my lack of artemis and how I've doomed us all etc. as soon as I popped. fuck 2.1 man.

Neither would the OF. If I said half the stuff I have in the last few pages I'd be white knighted to oblivion.
