Random fail today is that I forgot to pass the BLM head in CT while explaining Acheron to a new person. I don't even have THM unlocked. Oh well.

Also the Atomos DPS race is my favorite part of CT. The Succubi and dragons are both stunnable, no reason to be getting hit by anything they do.

lol @ taking back the spell speed from my allagan healing legs. Now, WHM goes back to zero options for spell speed in the leg slot. I still don't understand the point of mirror pieces at all.

Load times on PS3 in general have been longer since 2.1 launched also which doesn't help.

[EDIT] Well, got my reply back which was "Should have passed bro". Too bad I couldn't since you can't open loot menu during a load screen.

I've been reading a lot about this, why are people leaving Copperbell Mines HM? I did it 3 times the first day it came out, 2 of them in a PUG and completed them without much problems, I haven't done it since cause I cap with CT and Coil.

Like someone said, aiming for a Acheros drop is wanting me to kill someone.. I barely use BLM but I want to have it somewhat geared for the times I do use it.

It's probably because of the first boss. It takes some experience knowing the mechanics behind it, and the general playerbase is pretty derpy. Coupled with the long run back to the boss fight (no shortcut), it can get very frustrating, very quickly.

At least that's the only thing I can think of because outside of that boss, Copperbell is just as easy as the Story Dungeon.

I think the stranger question is how I'm able to sometimes join a 1/3 in progress Copperbell HM. As in, on the 2nd boss. As healer.

When I do Copperbell Mines on WHM I people in the DF can't dodge anything for shit, they take every single fucking landslide-thing and bomb the second boss dishes out. It's possible to heal through it, but it's really annoying. I imagine a healer with lesser skills wouldn't be able to keep up with that, especially considering the minimum gear requirement.

If your tank is herp enough and your dps bad enough, the dragon can get the glowy eyes move on the pillar.

Thank god i didn't unlock any of the hardmodes for haukke/pharos etc. My daily roulette is amazing, WP or AK for high-level for easy myths. Main scenario is snoozefest, i sleep on that shit paying half attention until i get my 300 philo's...and low level roulette is just crossing my fingers for ifrit.

I hope there's a bunch of complaints about this on the official forums beacuse they need to fix it so that doesn't happen. They need to change it so that you cannot ever get loot in there unless you need or greed it - not needing or greeding should be the same as passing once the full five minutes are up. I can't think of a single situation where you'd want loot to autosort to someone in CT who hasn't passed but also hasn't needed or greeded. The fact that it wasn't set that way to begin with with a weekly loot lockout is kind of mind-boggling. Maybe once in a hundred times the situation would be "oh I forgot to lot, I'm glad that sorted to me" - the other 99 times it'll be "oh, I forgot to pass, fuck that sorted to me."

I'm more surprised people haven't been quitting out of CT after getting their loot for the week, but I suppose when loot floors all the time and the 30 min lockout exists that's less feasible.

^ This - it's literally encouraged by the way the loot system works, lest you be punished by seeing the drop you actually wanted from a later boss.

Join In progress don't have the 30 min cooldown

On the lolPS3 subject, fuck the devs for not performance testing shit. Can't be bothered to farm Garuda EX for alts because the game turns into a slideshow during tornado phase. The PS3 already just barely handled 3 tornados during HM, but EX had to throw 5 at it.

Also fuck the roulette for always picking PR on story progression for my 300 philos, that zone has a good 2 minutes worth of loading on my console due to all the transitions in and out of cutscenes, which take abnormal amounts of time to load compared to other story dungeons. It's a problem because the other players see you as out-of-scene after you hit skip, but I'm usually stuck waiting 15 seconds for it to load me back into the game, at which point some hasty tank already locked me out from healing on the boss.
