Yeah, the convo macro complaint is weak. I call out convo on vent as a personal heads up to my two healers, but damned if they actually need me to. If I asked them honestly, they'd probably tel me to shut up about it since they already know the situations in which I'd be using it.

Communication is communication. You don't need macros for communication. The only macro I actually have on my war is a thrill of battle macro so I can synch my 10k+ hp with a whm stoneskin for super-skin, and that's simply for a turn 4 pull.

I don't even bother with that, since "super-skin" is only about 300HP more mitigation than normal. I don't tank in Turn4 though, so 300HP may be more important than I realize.

It isn't. HP is just a buffer for how hard the healers have to work, 300 is nothing, especially on WAR assuming you're offtanking.

Last week we had a pretty major derp on turn 4: the phase 6 spinner rook didn't get taken off me (as maintank) somehow, and managed to get a pox off. I was sitting at 2500 hp tanking double dreadnaughts for 30 seconds. We still managed to get through it thanks to overuse of cooldowns and some pretty great proactive healing.

(hardly necessary for them to tell me tho, but a lot of times SCH can be sitting on Aether stacks and that's a good opportunity to burn some off)

Oh, a complaint.

Should have not even bothered making the ilvl80 belts for CT, 10 ilvls on a belt is nothing and it just dilutes the loot pool with junk.

I think a lot of it comes down to how well in sync your group is too. With my static, like the majority of people, we sleepwalk through T1-4 coil and just goof off on vent midrun. Then last week we didn't go so I went to help out a friends group for T4 and I was amazed because they verbalized every little detail on teamspeak (and it still took 4-5 tries). Sidenote but their strat caught me offguard (I didn't know people feeding P4 spiders to P5 Dread was a thing. Having a 4 stack dread and a 2 stack dread on me was interesting!).

But with macros, yeah fuck that. The only macro I have is for Blunt Arrow/Spirits when doing ADS. And even that annoys the hell out of me because I always forget to toggle it back off when it's not needed anymore. Stuff like tank switches I never verbalize. If the co-tank isn't capable of doing it without being prompted then I'd rather not tank with them (in fairness, I've yet to come across anyone incapable of doing it)

I think the ilvl 80 accessories from Ultima are worse. Less of a step up than the belts due to the absence of VIT on accessories. They could have at least made the necks ilvl 90 just so that all accessories got a new ilvl 90 piece this update (PVP excluded)

For once the other three people are decently geared, and the WHM still struggles on Siren.

Welp, back to auto-bailing any time Roulette decides on Pharos.

Welp, looks like I'm done with the game. Killed Ifrit and went "meh...". Just so many things are off putting.

Will be logging in a couple of nighs to help my coil static to clear it until they can find a replacement for me (10 days left at the mogstation after all), but other than that, I already gave up all my stuff and I'm ready to deinstall.

I did Pharos three times tonight, all with roulette. Finally cleared the last time. Having DD who know how to kill adds appears to be a miracle based on my healer-based experiences.

Eh. As far as I'm concerned the ultima neck of aiming is better/can be better than gryphonskin and allagan.

Queued in progress high level roulette as tank, got AK. All 3 other members had less than 3k hp. Took 3 attempts to kill Demon Wall, the successful attempt was me literally soloing it from around 40% (they lived long enough to LB the bees finally, but got knocked off by the next repel). 2 of them got Mapping The Realm when we got to the final room. Spent the next 25 minutes unsuccessfully trying to explain that they needed to break line of sight from the big ball in the center, not the dragon itself. Then we timed out.

Last night was spamming dungeon finder as it's a faster queue for dps then individual dungeons while leveling my blm. I got Ifrit, got 137 exp for killing him and that was it. Ten minutes of my life I will never have back.

EDIT: I give up -_-; Just gonna camp PF. I'm sure it will be quicker. Only did DF because I thought it would probably be done by the time I finished dailies then was just intrigued at how long it would take.

I am a patient person and pretty friendly in game. That said, if I get Pharos in roulette, I instantly bail and accept the 30 min penalty. First time I rolled into it was right after 2.1; we wiped like 8x and timed out after 90 mins despite me telling everyone what to do. Yesterday I decided to give it another shot and we were clearly not going to clear it ~50 mins in so I bailed. It's just not worth it; wish I had never unlocked it.

Update: two hours later I queued again, and got the same 3 fucking people. Apparently, they were a premade group. I immediately unplugged my entire surge protector from the wall.

Fuck this goddamn game sometimes.

I think I got this same group last night for AK...WHM solo DPS'd down Demon Wall for them.

Finished work on time for the first time in about 3 months (usuallly stay over 1 - 3 hours extra per day) and in 4.5 hours tonight managed to get in a whole 1 CT run before maintenance kicked in. Apparently only the Chaos data group too. Slightly miffed to say the least.
