PF is ridiculous sometimes. i85 to i90 requirements for Titan and Ifrit EX. Even i80 seems rather high; a month of just myth, CT, and 1-2 weeks of coil and my WHM alt is only avg i77.

Ya I agree, BUT I have learned that 9 times out of 10 if you just send them a tell they'll take you anyways. Especially since people have a hard time filling the healer/tank spots.

Not that I need them, coil group just oneshots them for the week same night we do 1-5. Just laughing at peoples' unreasonably high standards.

The problem I've had with that is it's a total crap-shoot. Sometimes you get a competent group who had a member disconnect or have to leave, sometimes you get the slot of someone who quit because the group couldn't clear Demon Wall. I feel like the odds of having a ragequit worthy shitty group are a lot higher using in-progress.

I see your "group that cannot clear Demon Wall" and raise you a "group that cannot clear the 1st boss of AK" (flayer). Join a 0/3 roulette to find 30 minutes left on the clock and a "we're right at the 1st boss" from one of the party members. I stuck it out anyway because it might have been possible to get a win if we didn't screw anything up. Both of our DDs were BLM, and this was the first time doing AK for one of them so it took a couple tries to get the pattern down.

I really wish I could commend people even though we didn't win. People who are patient and helpful even when things aren't going well deserve a medal.

What's even funnier is when your ilvl doesn't meet their standards, you send them a tell informing them you have an Elder Staff and offer to display said weapon to prove it, and they still won't take you.

Of course, we have people offering to sell Extreme clears now, so I guess technically even a primal weapon isn't evidence of skill anymore.

Consider yourself lucky you were able to get a decent party. I've spent ages in Garuda EX with no luck so far. The random DF group I got yesterday got further than the "farming" PF group I joined. Very frustrating. Severe lack of decent tanks at the moment, I'm not sure where they've all gone. Hopefully by the end of this week I'll be confident enough to OT it on my freshly 50'd WAR, because that looks like what it's going to take to clear the fucking thing.

Coil has been fucking abysmal this week too. Enrage mode means there's fuck all people around to clear T2 after Tuesday (skipped it in the end) and the T4 group I wound up with was a static 4 man, and boy were they obnoxious. Constantly berating people in the party, and then failing the P5/6 transition several times before we finally cleared. I saw them looking for static members in the PF later on, I pity the fool that joins them, there's probably a very good reason they're still a 4 man static.

What they really need to fix about in progress dungeons is the fact that it fills the slots one at a time, which just ends up creating a revolving door of people entering/leaving. If a dungeon needs 2 people, it should find both before putting them in to it, not one at a time. Would solve a lot of the issues with people entering, seeing it's not a full group, going "nope" and then dropping.

A bad or even mediocre tank for Garuda Ex just absolutely cripples the group. We had a group earlier where we were clearing with ease and then the MT had to leave, rest of the group stayed the same. Replacement tank kept either getting dropped by double Wicked Wheel or messing up on plume. So then both tanks had to go and we got 2 new tanks who seriously could not manage to survive to the first Aerial Blast. The OT couldn't keep hate off the DPS and the MT couldn't stay up or grab both Gar/Sup at the same time. It was an absolute shambles. All because of 1 good tank having to leave.

More frustrating because I have a 7k HP PLD but I never get BRD gear if I tank it. There's always a BRD who needs it or some tosser greeding it when they don't even have BRD 50 or something similar.

Speaking of awful tanks in Garuda, I once had an MT who refused to generate any kind of hate on Suparna because that would mean the OT couldn't get hate on her once Chirada was dead. I mentioned that, you know, Provoke exists, and his response was that he couldn't rely on that because Provoke would "decay" and the DDs would be at the top of the hate list. No amount of explaining how hate works could convince him otherwise. Eventually he decided I was "sounding entitled" and kicked me.

Also: BLM legs refused to drop from T4 again (never even seen the bastard things drop). Fuck it, I'm just melding some Vanya legs for accuracy.

Less a complaint and more a fail, cannot be bothered to deal with solo CT tonight to get a drop. The only useful thing I could get is Gauntlets of Light anyway. Anything else would be to use when fucking around or Gladiator or Pugilist to replace AF pieces.

Also, sold EX wins today for over eight hours and saw exactly one Striking accessory (earring). Fuck me.

What group setup are you running with that allows you to carry a person in titan ex?

PLD WAR SCH WHM MNK BRD BLM [Buyer]. Cut it close on the heart a couple times but for the most part it didn't really make a difference if the buyer was dead the whole time or not. We usually ended up LBing the second set of Gaolers to avoid having to deal with them. If you can carry someone through Titan, you can carry them through Ifrit.

Honestly, it wasn't as difficult as we were expecting it to be, though it was easier when the buyer knew how to dodge.

Interesting. If we did the fight more my group would possibly be able to do it as well then. I'm just not currently confident enough that we wouldn't fuck it up and embarrass ourselves lol. We could probably sell Ifrit runs though, fight is so much easier/forgiving than Titan. Need to find out if we can down phase 2/3 nails fast enough with a dead person.

You don't want the tank feet. It gives you chicken legs. Stick with DL legs or Valor Feet (assuming you're PLD, forgot what WAR feet looks like) so you look buff. As someone in LS warned me before I picked it up yesterday "don't need on it, it's Skinny Jeans" ... oh god how right he was
