Finally beat Titan X - BRD earring drops. I'm on DRG but I am the only one in the party with a 50 brd. The main SCH lots it and beats me by 1(a 7 vs a 6). I see his bard is lvl 34 and he mentions "I'm starting to lvl it now"

Why not? Even with HQ level 55 feet it's an improvement on darklight. Unless you desperately need the ACC for coil, in which case the combo is still good for everything else in the game.

Ya, I guess I could buy Militia and meld it... but fuck, the lack of PLD/tank drops is frustrating

My MNK is basically fully geared in i80 crap and it's currently 32. I don't see the problem; yea, he could have not probably been a dick, but I probably would have lotted on it also given the circumstances.

My WAR leveled into Dual Haken and 4 or 5 pieces of Allagan, shit was legit when I did my relic quest. If it was a full PUG with no pre-determined lot rules then I don't see a problem with it - it's named greed, after all.

I'm having serious lag issues recently that I never had before. I have fios on the east coast. What's the deal.

Yeah, I know the threads and whatnot were linked already but I'm also on the east coast on FIOS. Something for sure got fucked up shortly after 2.1 because I've never had any kind of latency issues until very recently. I ended up going with a paid VPN (see image on previous page) and the game is back to normal for me now. Hopefully SE gets it sorted out before my free trial runs out.

I somehow ended up in a perfect cycle of being 5 mythology below some "lesser" piece, so I end up waiting a week and buying a "bigger" piece. Last week I was 5 short on an accessory, which puts me 5 short of a body/legs this week, so I'll +1 a weapon instead next week and be 5 short on an accessory again, then 5 short on a body the next week, etc. Which obviously makes sense since 450x2 = 900, the cost of +1ing a weapon, but goddamn is it annoying to see for 4 weeks in a row that you're 5 short of an impulse buy.

Was fixing the Sword/Shield oath bug so complicated they couldn't manage to fit it into the hotfix?

Hate playing PLD in any tank swapping fight, as if Halone spam wasn't dull enough now all I can do is 2-step Riot blade and occasionally do a tentative Halone for the STR down.

I find Fast Riot to actually more DMG, when done quick then Halone combo

Also allows me to keep MP and help tank with flash/SS

Riot blade is less damage and drains your TP like mad.

Riot Blade combo is less DPS (190 potency per action as opposed to Halone's ~203 potency per action) and will destroy your TP (Fast Blade is 70, Riot Blade is 80).

Riot Blade isn't that bad on TP; the entire point of it is to get MP, which you then spend on a stoneskin/flash/whatever. That's 300 tp over 5 GCD spaces (2x RB, SS), or 60 TP per GCD compared to Halone's 63.3 TP per GCD.

That's not really the use-case being discussed though. If you have no MP you have no other option than to use Riot Blade. The issue arises when you're tank swapping and therefore constantly sitting on the threat threshold, making Rage of Halone unusable. Riot Blade combos are less damage and horribly TP inefficient (which makes no sense if the combo is less damage to begin with). Riot Blade combos are 75 TP per action, Halone combs are ~63 TP per action. It makes no sense; MP restoration aside, Riot Blade combos are worse in literally every way.

I Riot once to let other tank establish hate after a swap (usually preceded by Stoneskin on them), then just go back to mashing Halone unless I really need the MP for some reason. Usually don't, even with liberal use of Stoneskin.

WAR's don't spam BB combo and that would rip hate from a WAR pretty quick.

The game is lacking in content once again, I'm burned out of CT because it's mind-numbingly boring and I've done it many times by now and I basically have everything I wanted from Primals (minus an earring for my BLM, but I have no hurry since it isn't my main job), I'm only logging for dailies and weekly coil/myths like I used to prior the patch :/
