Ya, happens when you lag out right when she is about to appear. Been happening since launch. Dont think there is a fix in sight.

Happens with Garuda a lot too if you lag out anytime around her (many) teleports.

Been spending weeks trying to get Titan (EX) down. IT WASN'T ME. I was usually the last alive. Couldn't get into a group that could do it.

Woke up this morning saw a group almost full just needing a bard. I was like "FUCK YES" (usually have to get on a group asap or there's like two other brds in it already). Wipe on first attempt at egi-s 'cause two people got hit by their ls, but otherwise the run was smooth. Second time we managed to beat it with like 3 people dead. Got my cutscene, got ported to his aetheryte.

I was all like "HELL YES, time to start all my irl errands for the day!" But was like, "hey I should unlock ifrit in case I wanna join a group."

Go all the way to Urianger. NOPE. No quest. I was like "wtf?" Checked to make sure he's the next dude to go to, supposed to be. But no quest.

I check my journal, Quake Me Up Before You O'Ghomoro is no longer there. So I know I completed it. Check it under completed quests. NOPE. Quake Me Up Before You O'Ghomoro is not listed there either.

Meaning I can't get the ifrit quest, and I couldn't even redo the titan quest since it's not listed. So pissed atm.

Do GMs even respond to shit on weekends? I put in a bug report, but I'd imagine, nope, not gonna hear from anyone until monday. Which means I lost out at a shot of finally getting my elfin bow this weekend.

[edit] to clarify, it was still a bug, my quest tracker and my journal just didn't show me the quest anymore. So I didn't know you had to drop it off in limsa ;;

It's been a while since I did those quests, but I'm pretty sure it's listed in Quest Tracker; did you just push it off your Quest Tracker with dailies or some shit?

Also, fucking not being able to choose which quests to track

And getting 6 daily quests but only having the ability to track 5

But ya, the quest wasn't on my log, so I figured it was done.

Both.

I didn't see it on my tracker after the fight (I only had two quests fyi, that one and moogle). When Urianger wouldn't give me the quest I checked my journal. Moogle was the only active quest. (was thinking maybe it didn't register the fight so was still uncompleted) Titan wasn't listed in completed either. Which makes sense since it technically wasn't completed.

This game's mechanics make for an especially shitty playerbase in most cases. If I didn't have a loose group of people to play with this game wouldn't be fun even in the least.

Honestly, this is pretty much the case with every MMO. I won't claim to have saint-like patience, but I'm okay with helping people learn new stuff assuming it seems like progress is actually being made. At the very least, I'd like to believe I'm an okay teacher when I know what's up. It's when these times of frustration hit that I really, really, really wish you'd see alternate progression methods like good crafting or soloable quests that'd eventually yield similar gear. Call it the MMO equivalent of "I don't wanna live on this planet anymore!" where all you can really do is control yourself and just hope there isn't some douche troll in it to fuck everyone over.

Garuda EX PF woes:
-Satin plume exploding. Twice. Fucking lol.
-Died to Razor Plumes suiciding after 2nd tornado+sister+spiny
-Died to OT losing hate on sister during tornado phase. To SMN DoTs
-Died to tanks forgetting Spiny on me (SCH), multiple occasions
-Died to tank sucking at Slipstream and hitting the party
-2 BLMs in 2 different parties died to OT Slipstream in tornado phase. Twice
-First sister phase, both sisters still alive for Aerial Blast. With all i90weapon (some EX weapon) DPS
-Died to tank running to healers at first sister phase, Garuda does WW

This is really not that difficult, yet people are just absolutely retarded in this fight.

Yeah happened to me and a few ls members from time to time. You actually have to log out of game and back in and pray you have time before rage.

Yeah, I mean I know you're spot on it just bothers me. My exceptional experiences in FFXI have skewed my expectations of XIV, I'm sure. But back then we had 20-30 of us consistently around during the week, we could do anything and have a good time and learn it together. There's maybe five or ten of us from our old LS in XIV, and not on nearly as consistently. I'm gunna have to bite the bullet and get with a new FC or something, this constant random party shit for high level raids and fights sucks.
