They really need to do something about Odin. Last 3 times I've been there he has loaded on my screen and my cooldowns get eaten but TP never budges more than 1 GCD so I know for a fact fuck all is going through. Always just get Bronze as a result. Annoying because I can rank just fine at Behemoth.

PF Garuda parties are so fucking bad. Had one after two weeks that actually cleared it multiple times. If tanks aren't getting buttfucked by WW, they're not voking spiny and letting the stacks build. One or the other, always.

That fight is annoying as fuck to Tank. (not hard just annoying) Dodging 2 staggered slip streams, while watching the other tanks stacks, while juggling cool downs for dual WW, while positioning for Melee to have room to dodge WW etc.

I joined a party finder Garuda EX last night, just because I hate myself. First time, we wipe right away because the tank lost hate literally 2 seconds after the initial pull and couldn't get it back, and Garuda was in between all the rocks, going ham on the mages. He said he was new to the fight. So we made him OT for second attempt, and the new MT lost hate to the drg before she did her first jump and we ended up wiping. Third try, they get hate established, half the party runs out from behind the rocks before she does the slipstream attack before the plumes all appeared, and proceed to die. I left after that. Like, I've never seen anything like that on any primal fight, where it was just a disaster from the get go.

Not going to argue that...but thats again SEs fault for making Melee full retard to lvl and gear besides their LB. Can't wait for Leviathan and not being able to hit him from the back or flank.

What gives me hope is that in one of the pictures you see his tail off to the side of the ship. Possible you might be able to hit that as his "back".

Wouldn't surprise me if the future of "Tank-stack swap" gimmick bullshit is Melee vs. Ranged damage phases making you want to build parties having both.

Spammed some Garuda Ex with the LS. 4 Healing, 4 Fending, 3 Casting. Fuck off, all I want is Aiming Fed up of tanking it now!

(All Healing and Casting were wanted drops so wasn't a complete waste of time)

If DRG's positionals worked like MNK's (still goes through at wrong side but at reduced potency) I wouldn't even care. But removing rear option just tanks DRG's damage so bad. I imagine MNK isn't much better off.

I was musing myself that I can't imagine any situation SE could devise to enforce melee participation (and still have the content be "casual"). If you make a boss or something have a physical/magical invincibility swap, you'd still just stack BRDs and casters.

The way to do it is have a substantial DPS gap between frontline and backline jobs. You can take the easy road and bring a bunch of ranged, but there should be a reward for bringing frontline DPS, namely significantly faster kill times. If you wanna avoid the hassle, take ranged. If you wanna get done faster, take the frontliners. Right now the gap isn't even remotely big enough to justify the large increase in requisite effort.

DRG may get hosed with flank/rear combos but MNK gets it just as bad with all the jumping and running constantly killing Greased Lightning.

You will be able to flank Leviathan and if the target circle is small enough you'll most likely be able to also use back attacks. I'm assuming the circle will be under his head considering that's the only thing you can attack but you never know.

Hopefully it's not like Titan's Heart in that to hit it you need to be up Titan's nose. Trying to hit flank/rear attacks on that thing is such a pain in the ass. Attacks get cancelled constantly because its hitbox is the size of a photon and you end up in front of Titan getting hit by Rock Breaker because you can't flank it from anywhere else.

Really? I can hit Titan's heart from the same distance I can hit Titan, while the model is small its hit box is HUGE, I remember having trouble with it back when I did HM, but with EX it's a completely different story, that's what I've experienced.

When I'm tanking I have trouble hitting it. I'm fine when it's facing me but when it turns around to jail people it sometimes won't process my hits until it turns back around, it just acts like I'm out of range. I imagine the same would be true for people hitting it from behind?
