As DRG I've had trouble hitting it for like 1 GCD when Titan does Rock Buster. It shifts slightly. I've also been hit by Rock Buster mid-(regular) Jump which is extremely stupid.

Jump complaints in general: it updates your position as you go instead of instant travel. MNK doesn't take poison pool damage when Shoulder Tackle'ing across in CT. DRG takes a few ticks mid-jump always.

The main problem with Titan's Heart is that where it's at is based on its actual location on Titan's body, which shifts drastically during certain attacks. Unlike regular Titan, whose "center" remains constant even when he's leaning forward for an attack or whatever.

You can see the position updating on Jump in action if you ever use it on Titan's Heart as he is swinging his fist. Camera literally bobs and weaves with his movements.

On that note, the movement gimmick to Jump is retarded, they should have just made it move you to your target like Spineshatter/Dragonfire.

How often do you need to attack a target at range but don't want to close with said target? For those very few and far between situations we have Piercing Talon anyway.

If Jump just brought you to the target it would also solve DRG's issue of Spinehshatter being on too long of a recast to be reliably used to reach distant targets (Shoulder Tackle is 30s, Spine is 90s).

Also, as people have mentioned, the fact that Jump actually does temporarily change your position just makes the function even more useless, because I can't use it in Titan EX while waiting for LS to finish or bombs because if I use it at the wrong time the split second I'm in the target area can get me knocked off.

Literally has only popped up once for me: I Jump healer gaol on the way back to Titan, assuming I won't get LS'd by doing so. It's probably a totally pointless gesture.

On that note; on that note, the ranged WS (Shield Lob, Tomahawk, Talon) need either a potency buff or a TP nerf, at the very least they shouldn't interrupt combos.

They're obviously much more useful for tanks pulling than they are for DRG damage but even then their potency isn't enough to grab hate in a lot of situations, their shitty range certainly doesn't help either.

For the extremely high TP cost and the fact that they aren't part of any combo they should definitely have more potency than "slightly more than an auto-attack".

Shield Bash needs a TP nerf too. You can't chain stun because of the resistance mechanic, its potency isn't great, and 150 TP is ridiculous when PLD is already TP-negative because of Fast Blade.

Every job is TP negative depending on the situation, for PLD if you're using Swipe like you should (ie. all the time) it goes a long way.

If you're using Bash often enough for the TP consumption to be an issue the mob's probably long since resistant anyway.

Shield Swipe isn't always usable (hello Turn 2), generates zero threat and no additional effect 95% of the time. PLD is literally TP negative in that every action except Shield Swipe costs 60 TP or more (Fast Blade is 70, Riot Blade is 80), and you only regenerate 60 TP per tick (which is longer than the GCD meaning even if they were all 60 TP you'd still be losing TP faster than you gain it back). I'm generally pretty much out of TP by the time conflags start on Twintania, including Shield Swipe abuse.

    How in the fuck...

What kind of skill speed wizardry are you pulling off? Do you have 2 SCH alternating Selene buffs?

Say you get 1 swipe every 4 skills, which is about consistent with a 25% block rate. An average cycle of 4 moves then totals 230 TP. Say you have ludicrously high skill speed that puts your GCD at 2.3 seconds. 230 TP over 10.4 seconds is an expenditure of 22.12 TP per second. Native regen is 60 per 3 seconds, or 20 per second. So you're negative by 2.12 TP per second. To drain 930 TP (enough that you would ever possibly have to wait for a tick to use fast blade) at that rate would take 7 minutes, 18 seconds. I sincerely hope your group does not take 7 minutes to get to conflagrations.

Also, keep in mind that every 1 second of 'slack', whether not perfectly riding the GCD or using another non-TP ability like flash, causes you to go TP positive by about 9 seconds worth of drain. A single flash extends how long you can keep the chain up by over 20 second.

Bit late for the melee talk, but here are my two gil--

    1. Leviathan. I'm guessing it will be like others have said and his head will dip far enough down to create a full position circle. I would not be opposed to him doing multiple positions: sometimes you can get flank/rear, sometimes you have no choice but to stand on his nose. It would also be interesting if they made it so you can attack his full length, instead of just the head if Leviathan ever does a boa constrictor to the platform. Or, perhaps they'll go completely insane and have two targets--Leviathan's head and tail. No rear bonus on the head, only rear bonus on the tail.

But, this is SE. Will probably be flank/front only the entire fight.

    2. Garuda: DRG is my most geared job at full i90; my BLM is sub-par on Garuda XM at best so I tend to go as DRG anyway. I have over 5k health with food; I should not die to Wicked Wheel, but I still do from full health. Ideally, Se should've made it so that the damage is splittable to some extent. One target? 5k health to non-tanks. Two targets? 3.5-4k. Three targets? 3k. This would actually encourage multiple melees to be taken on an otherwise very unfriendly melee fight.

All that being said, usually my group separates the wicked wheels so nobody is eating two, ever. Offtank just needs to position so melees can avoid getting hit in the second half, and melees need to know when to back off and stand there before their target wicked wheels. After the first add is down in the second half, it's fairly easy to time a jump to get across the arena to Garuda after waiting for her to wheel.

I pretty much always pop Foresight when running in so I rarely seem to die from WW; only a couple pieces (i70 legs+ring) away from full i90. But also not eating 2 at once of course.

Not sure if it should be random complaint or random praise:

Team not using me this week for Turn 5 so I had to do it on my own.

Went into a Pickup group drunk/hung over.

5 Hours but I got it down (Fuck yeah!)

SMN Book dropped along with Paladin Head. Tank Need rolls (I'm MNK) head so I can't lot on it.

Proceed to throw up from whole day of drinking. Honestly . . . I don't know how I made it to the end.

Dude, drunk playing is the best. I've got my Drunken Fist lvl2. I generally go deeps for Titan ex but when I got home wasted my FC asked if I was too drunk to be willing to tank it and I was, but I said I was fine. Raped that motherfucker. It seems I play a lot better when I'm drunk lol.

Swipe is PLD's best damage tool, if you're not using it at every proc you're either stupid or just starting a fight and haven't gotten your first few Halones off to solidify hate yet.

It doesn't generate "0 enmity" either, it generates the same enmity as any other damage x2-3 (whatever the new increased oath/defiance mods are). If use of Swipe if causing enmity issues for you then you're doing something wrong.

The fact that the pacification effect is crap is irrelevant, it's a 220 potency attack for 40 TP and it doesn't even interrupt combos.

Does pacification even work? I still have mobs use their skills like everything's gravy despite being pacified.

Also, I love mashing a buff (in between GCDs or by itself) and not having the game activate it. Of course SE, I must not want raging strikes despite hitting the button 10 times.

Typically when I pacify stuff, it doesn't "stun" it, just will reach the end of the cast bar and not fire (at least was the case on Dullahans using the cone thing).

From what I understood it's just the fact most mobs have a plethora of abilities and weaponskills yet pacify only stops one category of tomfoolery.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the reason Pacify doesn't land on anything worth a damn is because SE's fight scripts would blow up if it couldn't process the next ability! (Shame Ifrit HM exists as a counterpoint to this!)

They already do blow up minorly sometimes though. If you, say, kite Titan around for a bit his rotations get a little delayed.
