blm feet dropped first time i went in, got drg legs the second time i went in. drg and mnk dropped that night, someone in my fc raged because he has monk at almost full, and that's the last piece he needs. lol

On the one hand, yes, I already have i87 and those last 2 pieces don't enable me to do any content I couldn't already, whereas it's a pretty massive upgrade from darklight cowl for him, so I kind of get it. Plus I'm perma-stuck on tank since no one in our group will fucking level PLD to replace me, so I don't ever really get to come as BLM.

On the other hand, seeing that ilvl 90 on your character is just so goddamn satisfying.

So apparently

In battlecraft escort leves, emotes used to guide NPCs will now be effective from longer range. To preserve game balance in light of this, the difficulty of the following guildleves has been increased.

Wonder Wine / Little Lost Lamb / Someone's in the Doghouse / Pets Are Family Too / One of Our Naturalists is Missing

* Escort guildleves in addition to those listed above may be subject to adjustments in the future.

actually means "npcs will now move at half speed, with emote range increase being too small to notice". Trying to burn through some allowances for some quick exp, but it's pretty much not worth it. I know it needed a nerf, but fuck them anyways for not even coming out and calling it a nerf.

Escorts are still relatively easy and quick as a healer :/. Leveled my SCH using them, and I could see them still being fine to do as a Tank; they're still quicker than any other leve. A DPS may as well use the allowances on another type of leve, I prefer the Necrologis (sp) ones since even DPS can ignore adds that spawn if they want to or choose to quickly kill them for more EXP.

People complaining about Coil drops? One of our healers literally has not received a single healer drop (We've seen 3 unique healer drops total). It's gotten to the point where I felt that bad that I have passed the last 4 tank drops for him (Feet, Neck, Earring, Ring so not exactly the bad tank drops) when tank is his secondary and my main.

It's bad when people who we take just to help if someone can't make it have gotten more than him. One of the people who has come to 2 runs to help got 5 drops for his DRG main in those runs. Our other helper got 2 drops in the one run they came.

My FC is is 0/14 on caster legs, I've never seen caster body, never seen caster shoes, seen tank body once, no tank accessories, no tank hands and tank legs twice. Oddly enough, we get a fuckton of healer and loldrg

Our FC is in the same boat, we've seen many DRG/MNK/BRD drops (we have almost 3 bards fully geared and two monks and a half, nobody plays DRG but I'm getting the pieces and I'm only missing the hands), our two tanks are about to get all the pieces too, but healer and caster? We had 2 caster feet, 2 caster rings, 2 caster bracelets drop, same deal with healers, only repeated drops, we haven't seen the caster legs and healer body yet.. and we started Coil in September.

BRD here and I have never gotten anything aside from a stupid bracelet I won't ever use. I have an ultima neck and CT feet as placeholders until I see t4 neck/feet, the only few pieces I care about in the entire game. On top of that, being non greedy and having a tendency to pass non BRD stuff left me without any other jobs close to 90.

Got kicked out of an iLv88 Titan Ex party because I didn't have an Elder Staff. Tried to explain that I already beat this and have a weapon to show for it but no elder no titan. Fucking people.

Am I missing something, but why i88 for Titan Ex? Does their ilevel make up for their inability to dodge and dps at the same time?

Sounds like you were saving yourself from a potentially "bad-time" anyways.

I dunno about other servers but i85 is a very common sight for EX primal farm (even just for clearing sometimes) PFs on Hyperion. The more insane ones push to i88-90.

Anyone using a one-handed weapon is also getting cheated out of 2-3 main stats compared to two-handers because there are no i95 shields/secondary weapons.

We were able to clear and possibly farm it with i83 tank and deadweight "dead" BRD with i80 party requirement. Me (WHM) and the SCH tho were i87-88...so there's that.

It just seems excessive.

Oh it definitely is excessive. And it's really embarrassing when a Zenith/Elder BLM with slightly worse gear is miles ahead of an Allagan Scepter BLM (to give an example). ilvl in these fights doesn't really mean much except "max potential", which most people in PFs (from my experience) aren't hitting.

e: v On my server those i85 "farm" parties have usually been "wipe for stupid reasons for an hour, maybe get 1 win, disband" or 1-3 people are dead weight (may or may not include leader) and leader then says "sorry this isn't working out" and disbands.

They don't let you view a person's ping and past # of wins/losses, when ilvl is all you can go on you crank it up.

I gladly hop on those ilvl85 parties, they're almost always successful or at least willing to kick and replace dead weight.

i understand the points, but for someone like myself that can't really get gear at the pace you guys do since i play at JP prime but belong to an NA server, there aren't many Coil groups running, let alone clearing 1-4, not to mention 5 while i'm on. I am fully capable of doing the content once given a chance, but this issue becomes being given a chance.
