FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

I joined two different "weekly clear" Ifrit groups last night, both low to mid 80s ilevel and neither group could clear it. I mean Ifrit is meant to be easy... Both groups managed to get past the third set of nails and fail the DPS check before the fourth Hellfire due to deaths. Not looking forward to getting my Titan kill this week.

I just duty finder for Ifrit. Every single group that I've had that decided to do Ifrit after beating Titan has just massively shit the bed no matter how smooth Titan went.

When I make a Titan group for a weekly clear, I set the standard pretty high. ilvl 85 and proof of having cleared it before (primal weapon or an accessory drop) or you're booted. I get some tells calling me a faggot and begging to lower the requirement or let them join even though "I haven't cleared it but I promise it's never my fault that we lose everyone else just sucks." A friend of mine caught one of the dps from my run today saying in another ls that he got 'in a group with some elitist prick', but then complimented the fact that the random party finder group I put together cleared it in fewer tries than the group he paid 1 mil to carry him through the first time.

I tried DF for my first Ifrit last week and the groups struggled to even get to the third nails, nevermind clear them. Your duty finder server group must just be better.

I agree that's the way to do Titan, but it's good to have some leniency. I let two tanks in my win last week who fell below my i85 requirement and /tell me and we won on the second attempt. I think it was their first too. Some people have reached the required standard but just can't find a good enough group.

I only go with ppl I know, either fc, coil group or bg hyp ls. Fuck anything else because I don't want to waste my time wiping over and over.

I foolishly tried to mine up a treasure map last night without logging into WTFast first. It felt like going back to the original 1.0 release Alpha-level lag, taking up to 2 full seconds to register me telling the game to swing the pickaxe. Took me nearly 30 minutes before I found a map. I don't know what I'm going to do once the free month runs out; It's inexcusable for a retail product to be nearly unplayable like that. I don't even want to think about trying to run combat like that.

I agree that it does suck and having to potentially pay for another outside service to make the oiginal work as intended is unacceptable, but until they fix it I think Ksandra said she was using Pingzapper or some program that's similiar to WTFast and it was $5 or $10 for 3 months.

Joining a PUG coil with a few members on here. I come as tank because its i90, and we needed one, but I wanted BLM drops. our BLMS already had the drops and agreed to let me greed them.

Double caster from T2, random bard (not from BG) ninja lots bracelets, wins lots, drops them, and laughs in our faces about it. People...

My blm is a shitty i80, nin BiS work in progress, and bracelets aren't that great I know... But its the principle

BUT DON'T WORRY GUYS WE GOT 4 MONK WEAPONS. Also we have never seen healer body drop a single time and we've been doing coil since the 3rd week after launch.

In a Titan EX a while back: SCH (me) WHM BLM SMN other 4 don't really matter.

I go to use Virus, no effect because Antibody was up. Tell them "hey, don't use Virus please". No response. Next attempt, someone (WHM or BLM since it was just Virus) does it just after engage (so it affected the Landslide that didn't matter and like 2 autoattacks). I say again not to use it. SMN says "I haven't been". Next attempt, SMN does it first thing.

Not -the- reason the party failed, but it is the most annoying thing when people use Virus when it either doesn't matter (Plumes/Landslide) or a non-ACN uses it on magic attacks (stomps).

To be honest, even when I know damn well that I shouldn't be hitting either of my stun moves at all on a particular fight, I almost always end up hitting Steel Peak once or twice completely out of muscle-memory from every other fight where it's just an extra bit of damage... then I completely forget about Shoulder Tackle's stun because I almost exclusively use it to close distances.

Ifrit off-tank: "No one use stun moves."
Me: "Yea, yea."
Ifrit main-tank: "Going"
Me: *Shoulder Tackle*

I want to take this opportunity to say how fucking stupid I think that change to the resistance mechanic was. All it did was fuck over people in PvE. I can use Flash two minutes apart and still get a 2 second duration on the second one. Why was that necessary? Because fuck you, that's why.

What the fuck was the point?

The Virus nerf seemed really stupid and unnecessary tho, it only lasts 10s and it's not even a straight -10% damage dealt.

Oh, I must've misread what you posted earlier. I thought you were saying that "the resistance mechanic" meant Antibody. This also makes the flash part of your post make more sense now.

Went from Virus -> Stun -> Flash and idk how I ended up here, MY BAD

Virus rotation is scrub status and a deserved nerf

Could have had super-virus at least ignore the antibody. Not like people stack SCH/SMNs in parties where that'd matter anyhow (in which case they'd be hit by the LB nerf)

Oh, and reiterating a pet peeve since it came up again today: i80+ SCHs who are lazy and leave their pet on auto-pilot. Would have been nice not having to double-cast Succor on a 2SCH Titan Ex if you'd just alternate Roused-Dawn with me.
