cutting the use time to 1min seems like a fine thing tho. Shit would help, I like to time my potions of int and what not on turn 4. maybe that is the point, still weather its 1min or 10min. I am going to use them. lol

Do not understand the point? due to its long time, its ok not to bring a 500gil item? fuck get your potions and use them at a key moment.

It really shouldn't annoy me nearly as much as it does, but lazy people who just camp the teleporter in CT until somebody else runs ahead to unlock it piss me off.

Those people usually port there before 50% of the people anyways. The people who afk a min and then still run all the way to the next place, instead of porting are dumb though.

On meds, it's less about how underwhelming they are and more how a fair number of them are literally pointless. Smelling Salts (cure sleep) can't be used on yourself while sleeping and afaik can't be used on other people. So it's completely worthless. Elemental resist potions are extremely miniscule and last about as long as a bowel movement, Hi-/Elixirs are kind of stupid because of the recast.

I chug HQ Mega/X-Ethers sometimes and megastat potions are nice. Just the attitude SE gives towards meds ("we don't want them to become central to strategies, so they will suck forever") is kind of sad for a craft that does almost nothing but make these + get shat on because they drop from maps/dungeons.

Have all 8 people spam poison pots on him (the highest level one); and then see if it works for other bosses like stuff in Coil, Ultima, Extreme Primals...

Might be an interesting case for those items, if someone has 7 reliable people to test with.

I don't want small consumables to become essential for a strategy either, that sounds ridiculous. The absolute last thing I want in this game is some sort of 15 second DPS check that relies on 4+ people remembering to use an arbitrary item that they may run out of during multiple attempts and has no other worthwhile uses.

If it ever became a necessity it'd basically just become something like another DPS cooldown. Actually I guess Mega-Potion of Dexterity is somewhat comparable to having an extra Hawkeye cooldown, albeit with a ridiculously long recast.

Fair enough, I don't either; aside from food I hate carrying consumables because:

1. I gotta remember to use it (read: i always forget or it's not needed)
2. Make room in my UI for it (or dig through my bag)

Still, aside from sleep and blind, these items https://xivdb.com/?search/potent are the only way to inflict a debuff on the mob, especially paralyze. Now, imagine if there's no diminishing returns and/or it stacks 8 times and that in hindsight SE hasn't actually made relevant bosses immune...? (Well, it works on Titan lol... does Ruin II/Flash affect Twintania?)

Food for thought. I told my "other" FC (not Gilgamesh BG) to bring them for Twintania during 2.0 for lulz and test, but I don't think anyone did it lol

50, at best. It's a certain % of a mob's HP but the value caps out at like level 30 mobs. It's ridiculously garbage. 5 ticks, so it's 250 DAMAGE per person.

Someone beat my 96 on the CT furniture piece (alt char and patience with CT this week was running desperately thin, so I went for it).

Also general CT drops complaint. It can be bad enough on my main with all 50s that could use a lot of the stuff (I just don't want or need it) but on my alt with only 3 lvl 50s (PLD WAR BRD) it's so much worse.

Only 2 sets I can make use of and I already have most of the tank set, not to mention getting into CT on a DPS is terrible in general so I tend to go tank and hope no BRDs need a piece that I want, but it doesn't matter cause the shit just doesn't drop anyway.

On topic: Tank feet still don't exist from CT ever since I decided to properly gear WAR. Almost three weeks ago. Fuck me.

I'm a little confused about the notion of "properly gear" and "CT" being in the same sentence.

But then again I refuse to get Valor feet because CT feet look way cooler with Relic on PLD.

Well, I mean, CT feet are better than hoplite feet which I'm currently wearing on it since I got allagan legs 800 million years ago. WAR feet look horrible with those, and I can farm CT to tide me over until Allagan feet eventually go to me (especially since I don't even remember if I am next in line on those).

That's the problem with tank bodies and tank feet.

Allagan/PLD/WAR are all so bulky that CT feet look kinda silly when worn together.

CT feet really only work with CT body.
