Our ilvl 87 BRD was doing 208 on Garuda followed by a BLM at 203 and our DRG was at 165. I think the SMN and MNK you encountered didn't know the fight.

I do for the egi, but extremely rarely. I mentally justify it by saying it's a pet name for a pet. Never ever ever for that actual enemy, Garuda.

But as far as enemy Garuda goes, I'm more disheartened by people's inability to spell Chirada and Suparna.

I used to spell it Sup ra na because Suparna just doesn't roll off the tongue (er...the mind-tongue) as nicely.

If you pronounce the two names out loud they don't sound like they do together.

Suparna (arn ah)
Chirada (rah dah)

doesn't sound as good as

Suprana (rah nah)
Chirada (rah dah)

As a tank, I don't get the tank behavior in CT at all. Everyone stands around doing nothing, so I always try to state early what I'm doing. At KB I say "I'll MT unless someone has a hard-on for it, then I'll do giants, I don't care, speak up." No one else will claim MT, but 1 or 2 will stand up there and fight for hate anyway while towers are bare. How the fuck hard is it to cover towers? Tanks either do nothing but stand around or boner-rage all over you trying to steal hate.

Skeletons are the worst. Tanks run from halfway across the map to grab the skeleton you're already dragging to you, then have to run it all the way back across - causing most of them to die in the middle.

I love doing towers because I can just stand there and not pay attention, but what often happens is either the tank who takes behemoth sucks, or their healer sucks, or whoever takes the giants was breastfed lead paint, so I typically volunteer for one or the other to save myself the grief.

Did a ct, guy didn't get the item from the first boss that he wanted so begged people to kick him so he wouldn't get the 30 min penalty from leaving. Party refused to so he just sat there BEGGING to be kicked every minute for the next 35 mins until ct ended.

It's a real name, though. Not just counting the mythological creature. Real human beings are actually named Suparna, so "mind-tongue" shouldn't really be a factor. And even if it is, I have to disagree. "Sup rah nah" sounds like you have a swollen or numbed mouth and are clumsily trying to spit words out of it. It's fucking awful to say.

lol, I'm not arguing what it "should" be, Suprana just has the same vowel sounds as Chirada, ergo I initially misread it that way for a while before realizing it was Suparna.
