FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

Yeah, it seems like they're adding it to the same pool at the current Hard Modes, which boggles the mind considering that those are about to reward currency two tiers behind current. I thought I'd read (or inferred, maybe) that the new tokens are only coming from Coil2 and Levi, though, so maybe it's meant to be another stopgap to buying i90 to then go on to bigger things.

I'm so used to WoW's progression in expansions it seems weird to consider new dungeons and raid content being completely removed from one another. In their setting, the new dungeon would be between 80 and 90. It still bodes oddly; CT might be in trouble because with no myth cap, there's no reason to grind for 80 gear besides an unimplemented Vanity system (or are we getting that 2.2? I don't care much so I don't remember). If new Ampadour only rewards myth/philo, it's going to need to drop them in large piles to get people to go there instead of current dungeons. Path of least resistance and all that.

Gearing a new charater isn't really all that difficult, I just did my brd alt from like i50 somethin to 83 without killin myself farming. I remember reading something not too long ago about this new Amdapor being the most difficult dungeon now, I'd be pretty upset if the gear wasn't at least i80. Makin on pair with darklight seems useless

I meant more along the lines of the possibility that everyone would stop doing the older dungeons, making it longer to queue and harder to stockpile points.

Yeah, vanity is 2.2 I believe. I wouldn't vanity anythin from CT though, all of it is mad ugly imo except maybe healer and caster body, but even then I like the mytho and Allagan more

Only thing I would vanity from CT is the fuma chest, it is simply too sweet. Nothing else overcomes the second-tier stank. (tongue in cheek now) Especially that piece of shit armor of light, I discriminate against that item so hard. If I see someone wearing this item they're either a tank alt and have no idea how to tank or haven't been a 50 tank for 2 weeks and thus also have no idea how to tank. Plus it doesn't even look like armor, it's like a blue paper mache vest over a dress. Nothing screams "hello i am a welfare tank" more than armor of light. If I have a tank wearing armor of light in my group it means he's going to eat every slipstream and feather rain, get pushed back by tornado and not provoke spiny, walk off the edge in Titan Ex, and eat every eruption. In conclusion, Square Enix, please delete this item from the game.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this. That body is bad and people should feel bad. I picked up relic body as my first myth purchase for my tank; best purchase ever.

Regarding Amdapoor Keep, pretty sure Yoshi said in an interview somewhere that 4 man content would never be on the cutting edge or anything. Really disappointing, because it's a nicer party setup in some ways. Don't have to worry about tank swaps for one.

I was gearing up my PLD via CT until I went into Coil and was like 50 accuracy below the T1-2 cap. Haven't done CT since. It's obsolete content to me, far less hassle to just wait until I can buy the 90s or get Coil drops. Unfortunately CT2 is likely to be the same in that by the time they release it only new players will find it useful.

As of right now, if you enter a new instance through roulette, there is no penalty for leaving. So yes, I can pick and choose. Alternatively for non-roulette, I can force d/c, wait 5-10 minutes, then come back having been booted from the instance and just queue again.

Wut? I left a brand new roulette run the other day and got 30 minute penalty. What do you mean there is no penalty?

I hope they don't decide to gate the new tomes by putting it exclusively in duty roulettes lol (so, once a day, roulette/solo only) and coil 2

Literally just left one and didn't get penalty. Low roulette.

You don't get a penalty if the party isn't full when you leave.

So, as soon as anyone decides to eat the penalty and dip out (or get voted out), that's your opportunity to GTFO.

There's also a sometimes-always, sometimes-never bug going on that causes it to not flag you if you quit with a full party. 60% of the time, it works every time.

The glitch is this: if you queue in progress and low level roulette at the same time you should be able to avoid the penalty every time.
