This is pretty much why people lie about experience though. Everyone who can do it already has statics or won't take someone who has never won, which leaves "learning" parties. Over and over again because they never win and you have to learn with a new group of people. Or you can't join or can barely join in the first place because despite clearing dozens of times the asshole PF leaders will not drop the i90 level Need>Greed.
Exaggerations all around I suppose, but in my case it's easier to just lie about clear than try to convince someone "yeah I've done this a dozen times on my main" and have them believe it. Tangentially, this is a less talked about reason that people buy wins: just to have 7 other competent people.
Probably shouldn't admit to lying about it because that's a surefire way to never get invited to a party I'm in again. Cross your fingers that no one sees the achievement pop.
He could have already won and only was on his alt.
We can no longer pull together a full group of non-retarded players for 2.2, because almost every single good player and most of the mediocre players have quit the game out of boredom.
They have no interest in returning for 2.2, because they have little hope for 2.3 extending end-game content.
I don't see how FFXIV can survive as anything but a casual shitfest in the long term. Which is sad, because I enjoyed the end-game content before it became stale.
Join a new fc. Plenty out there.
^ This. So many FCs on Gilg, and all of them are actively recruiting. Just because your crew rolled out doesn't mean the game's over.
We don't mind taking a pug that hasn't beaten it if we have to. We just simply ask, "Do you know the fight?" If they say yes, then we take them. If they fuck up, it's an instant kick.
There's plenty of people out there who are willing to go who know the fight. Just kick the baddies.
Allagan boots dropped in T4 today. They weren't the aiming boots. Skadi's Cuirie was easier to get.
Granted my only exposure to him is on these forums, but I'm confused why he still plays, considering that he mostly posts to bitch about how stupid everyone except him is and make excuses as to why he couldn't beat twisters way back whenever.
Oh wait I think I figured out why his FC is losing people and why he can't just join a new one
Treasure Maps obtained from fishing gives different loot pools, gais.
That's what I was referring to, I just worded it differently.
I suppose some do it for loot that isn't their main too so can't need on it.
I see why they do it, because they can and there's always going to be 7 people who don't want the drop the party leader wants. But it still makes them look like an ass. Or maybe I'm just being retarded when I make a greed group and let people roll against me.
Seriously. This sort of mentality can't really fly. I got my first t5 kill a couple weeks ago because a 7/8 static was nice enough to give me a chance even though I didn't have a clear yet (which is now my main static group). Just because somebody doesn't have it cleared doesn't mean they're an idiot. In my case I simply didn't have the time to bash my face against a wall of shitty PF learning groups for 8 hours every night trying to clear content.
Well, the over kill mentality is pretty much the same as how the current work environment is. Want this entry level job? You better have 10+ years exp and multiple PhDs.
It's shitty but people want as little risk as possible.
Twintania last night, another fucking Smn Book, so in 8 weeks: 1 Blm weapon, 1 Whm weapon, 3 Axes in a row and now 3 Smn book in a row.

SMN book is the only weapon we haven't seen. If we don't see it before 2.2 I might be sad. Tired of axes and swords and baghnakhs
