I would be fucking thrilled if I never saw another SMN book so long as I live.
I would be fucking thrilled if I never saw another SMN book so long as I live.
We pulled our fifth smn book out of that chest last night. So salty right now.
Got pretty pissed off last night. Mom called and invited me to to go out for dinner for my birthday yesterday so i tell the 2 people in charge of our specific group ima be maybe 2 hours late cuz of that and if they can wait/schedule for tomorrow. i get home and they're in the middle of T4. i tell em what the fuck and he only gives me the decency of a 1 liner as an excuse, "t5 cant wait need win before patch". even worse, my fucking casting legs dropped after like 17 or whatever weeks. Time to find a new group![]()
Speaking about drops, we killed twintania Sunday last week and got out third cane and second DRG feet, we killed it again yesterday and got exactly the same loot D:
Your static couldn't do it another day in the week? I always hear statics take on a random pug during the start of the week and wonder if it's cause they just want to get it done, their friends/static be damned or if that really was just the only day they could all meet up.
I'm fully expecting another spear this week while my SMN book continues to MIA.
Wow that's lame of your group, find new bros to play with.
Our policy is Monday is when we run, make it or be damned (me as leader as well).
We all have different schedules and we've all moved our lives around so Monday works, moving for one person will almost always just fuck someone else and then waiting for the weekend isn't fair for people who may want to go out or something. Easier to just keep it on one day and if you can't make it, too bad, so sad. At least then it's fair.
So if that's the mentality of this guy's static and it was known ahead of time, there's no fail, he made a choice to go out and miss. If this wasn't known beforehand then yeah, that blows.
Our policy is run 1/2 if people are no-shows, but turn-4 is so fast, and turn-5 is no fun with pugs.
/shrug
Last few weeks my group has been going on random days as others' schedules have prevented us from going our normal days. We try to accommodate first, and then replace if necessary.
That's not our policy though, which is what makes me even more wtf about it. I think the only time we've went without someone is cause it was a no call no show and we waited for 2 hours. And even then we didn't do T4, we waited a couple days to hear from them. I gave the leader a 12 hour notice and a valid reason. Honestly, I'm not very mad about it, it's just fucked up and then to not even really say anythin when I confront him about it. The leader and I are the only ones who are @1 for casting gear so I wouldn't be surprised honestly if he just saw a good opportunity to potentially solo lot if they dropped, which they did. It is what it is though, we've had many people drop out of our static group for shit like this, even recently we had both our static healers online and he went to pug some healers for t5 cuz he doesn't care for them, shit like that.
Sounds like kinda a shit group if it's not one way or the other (always go on this day or always wait for static). I'm in Saths group and have to miss the occasional run for work, it is what it is. I'd love to run with them but I know they've all allotted their time on Monday to Coil so why would I realistically expect 7 other folks to move everything around for me? Sounds like dude just wanted his free lot to be honest though.
The need/greed system needs a tweak just to counter shitheads and their unwillingness to reach a compromise.
Had a T4 group that took 45 minutes to form last night because one DPS wouldn't switch to his tank job (had waited 30 minutes for a tank to join up to this point) because the other DPS weren't willing to do a "greed" only run. I don't necessarily blame the dude, but it seems like something that could have been avoided entirely with a better system in place.
Having lost t2 fending earring and vortex caster ring due to ninjas, I won't be trusting pugs any more. It is a bit safer to go on the job you are aiming loot for so the shit lords don't take advantage of others and the system. I'll wait a few more minutes if it means security for an item rather than tossing it up in the air to get screwed by lockouts, ninjas, and RNG.
The biggest problem with that is that farm groups, even need>greed ones, tend to have the ilvl set higher than what anyone who actually needs things from a primal would be at.
I just hit 50 on bard but can't get a Garuda group for my ring because no one wants an i75 brd, and if I go anything else, someone need lots it from me.
I've developed the attitude that I won't do anything unless half the PT is from my FC or someone I know, excluding dungeons and shit. This is probably why I'm still missing a couple of my primal accessories.
Always a joy when people who say they've offtanked T4 really haven't and it's very obvious when the healers keep dying after certain phases spawn because they're too slow to pick mobs up or when they don't do what they're supposed to and the blms end up dead. At least I got my shield from T1 finally :/
We also usually wait for people in the static (we have to pug 2 members though, healer/tank) but when a member doesn't show for a whole week and then doesn't tell us if he can make it next week you can get pretty annoyed and just say 'fuck it, let's just get it over with'. Luckily he showed after T1 but it's kinda rude to not let people know if you can't make it.
i got 99 problems but 7 ppl for coil ain't one
after a bunch of bullshit around release that is
