ugh this for sure. Also, re: your coil static story; condolences, thats pretty crappy. My FC uses Groupme and it helps a lot to keep us all updated when someone is having scheduling problems(which is almost every week, fuck being an adult). It also made everyone get to know each other more which is cool if you're into the whole making friends with your static thing. Either way I hope you find some cool people.
This, especially with 2.2 being so close. I got the primal ACCs that were BiS for SMN (read: earrings and ring) and said fuck everything else. Gear will be outdated soon and I've actually seen people quit over weeks of PFing for 1 last accessory and being fed up with the community outside of FC (and we're a small not-very-active during the week FC).
Once like halfway through feb hit and I had the choice between deal with PF for my 4th+ jobs, jobs I will NEVER play, or wait until ilvl increase...
Wasn't a hard decision. I still only have like 4 primal weapons.
The problem is that our group had one of the first Twintania kills after BG. Our bar is higher than the standard retards. We're only interested in players who don't repeat mistakes and can pull optimal DPS, on top of having good schedules.
Twintania was very easy after Twister was fixed, yet these groups all continued struggling with not being able to kill conflags, not being able to kill snakes, and just fucking up the fixed Twisters and Dreadknights until December or January.
We stopped playing before Christmas because content was too stale, and the few of us who wanted to continue killing Twintania temporarily joined the #2 and #3 groups on the server. In full i90, these groups' total DPS is still lower than ours was with an average ilevel around 80.
We don't even require that candidates have downed Twintania. We just expect them to pull the correct amount of DPS, and to not die to stupid shit more than once. Nobody fits this criteria.
Give us an example of your out of this world DPS requirements - I want numbers for each class that you set the bar at.
I like how you say "fixed" instead of "nerfed", as if original twisters were some broken or unintended mechanic. Whatever you've got to do to justify not beating it before the change, I suppose.
Do you guys know which PvE MMO can be labeled "hard"?
Anyone else run into this bug/problem? : I was in BC Turn 4 yesterday on BLM, and almost every time I cast Blizzard 3 on a Soldier or Dread the animation would go off and the spell looked like it cast normally but I would do no damage and receive no UI3 buff. At first I thought it was just me until a couple of the others in the run with me were watching me and saw it happen. It truly stumped us all, and needless to say our group didn't beat Turn 4.
I'm sure you remember this guy's posts before, he begged Carraway for the Twister strat and then when the video was released he went off like a jackass about how easy it was and etc.
Pretty sure this is not a case of high standards, it's just like every other MMO guild/group that shoves the fact they're da best and most hardcore in everyone's faces - They end up burning out early due to the fact that those kinds of environments attract people with shit personalities who end up not being able to stand each other. There is a difference between having high standards and being a miserable cunt that no one can stand.
Edit:
You're saying this is WITHOUT being trapped by any of these? Just clarifying, otherwise I don't agree with your statement. If you're saying for a DPS who DOES NOT get trapped by any of these, then I agree, but just double checking.
My SMN and MNK can pull 330+ when not trapped, but it's obviously going to be a bit lower when they do get trapped.
Yeah you definitely missed then. I had occasional misses on SMN with 410-ish in turn 4 (had just gone DL hands > casting hands and hadn't popped food).
Yeah 400 is way too low, iirc the cap for casting dps is like 427. That may be for T5 though, been a while since I went in there as BLM though
