I don't play dragoon--prefer monk as my melee class--but I have to imagine this happens sometimes: to have something like a gaol appear when you're on the Chaos Thrust->Phleb step. This would drive me crazy.
That doesn't matter too much. The only seriously bad times for DRG in Titan EX, imo at least, is line bombs > landslide when either heavy or rear combo needs reapplying.
Both of those cases are better than having GL fall off and needing to climb back to 3 stacks.
Except I never let GL3 fall off.To be honest, if I played DRG I would probably doom spike every gaol anyway. I already exclusively use Rockbreaker as my finisher whenever there's a gaol (how could i not? the skill is literally called Rockbreaker)
My related complaint is when the gaol dies before I can use mercy stroke. Son of a bitch!
Or the following scenario: Using shoulder tackle to gapclose on Titan in time for your next GCD after killing the back gaol is one of the finer joys of monk gameplay. Even more so when the healer gaol is not far enough from Titan, so you need to jump away 1) to create space 2) for style points before you shoulder tackle.
But sometimes I use shoulder tackle after far-side line bombs so that it's not quite off cooldown for gaols and I'm stuck looking like a doofus jumping away from Titan and having to sheepishly run back in. And sometimes I forget about shoulder tackle altogether and walk into range before thinking about using it, then switch direction for a second to try to get out of minimum range, then switch again when I decide that it's not worth it. Double son of a bitch!
I play both too.
I would rather deal with DRG in a fight where losing GL is unavoidable, and MNK in a fight where it isn't. MNK rotation doesn't require more thought than DRG (because I know going from one to the other can feel like that). When things go wrong both jobs need to adapt to keep their DPS going.
Never saw Heavy Allagan Gauntlets, or BRD body, only one Fending belt, one Striking belt, one casting ring, and we've been clearing since the beginning of November. There are some other pieces we only got one of but those are the ones that stick out.
Mostly tank gear drops for us so very little DD gear so far which kinda pisses the others in the group off lol, good thing I'm tank
They need a better system than 2 chests with pretty large pools
We've a complete everything left side except bard legs and fending helm urghhh t5...
Coil drops are stupid. Repeating the shit out of turn 4 non-stop until I get my fucking aiming boots.
Can somebody tell me why in the hell the Sabatons of Light are so damn skinny? Every person I see wearing them looks like they are wearing skinny jeans and need some major leg days..
Well the sabatons are bulky on my lala, but replaced with tank feet this morning. BREECHES of light on the other hand, are yoga pants for tanks.
The Sabatons on normal sized people are about half the size as Allagan feet or PLD myth feet.. It looks especially dumb on Elves
Like a lot of gear they only look "right" when worn with the rest of the set they came from.
(see: WAR feet with anything other than WAR legs)
Can anyone explain this:
vs.
Those two pictures have the same gear (someone correct me if they see something different), except BLM is using an iLvl80 weapon and SMN is using an iLvl55 weapon, and the SMN total iLvl is higher.
WTF?
Shield missing on blm?
When you have the option to equip a shield it evaluates the level of your main hand differently.
Totally unaware of that. Thanks for the info.
Your BLM is also a THM, the soulstone an an ilevel of 30.
