Is there seriously any justification at all ever for spamming raw Ring of Thorns? The damage it does is so fucking shitty.

There are very, very, very, seriously very niche situations where you might need a bunch of shit dead right now but they are not in a close enough line for Doom Spike and you don't have time to do the more TP-efficient staggering of HT>RoT. In this very specific case it might be slightly better damage-wise (not TP-wise by a long shot) to do this.

And by very niche I can literally think of like Garuda plumes MAYBE and that's it. Even then you're tossing all your TP out the window for something that you absolutely don't need to.

Honestly my favorite setup when doing Brayflox runs is WAR, SCH, MNK, BLM. Fastest clear time was 6min 52s because we some how saw a LB for the second boss. I can't fathom what prevented you from throwing up a PF to get a BLM for your group before going, rather than praying for some god that you get one in duty finder, you seemed to have brought everything that happened upon yourself lol but then again I can understand why.

So is the expert roulette trash? It seems you'll get tomes faster creating a PF Brayflox group than roulette. I always seem to get Amdapor on roulette and there's always at least one wipe on Diabolos.

We only had three people. It wasn't even a speed run (or we would have found a fourth before going), but the two DRGs together weren't outparsing me on PLD. We were just trying to kill time before Coil.

Depends on your play-style I guess. SR bores me shitless, so I'm pretty happy to expert roulette once a day and cap tomes gradually through the week, supplemented by whatever else I do.

But hey, if you want to cap your Solidery within a few hours of reset because you just have to have that upgrade RIGHT NOW, then SR Brayflox is a better option.

Your Ampador groups have been average then, the only run I've had any issue on was the first clear attempt.

That restriction on transferring pisses me off. I want to move to Ragnarok because the EU playerbase on Excalibur is too fragmented but I've got too much gil. They're both legacy servers so there's really no need for a 1mil maximum considering I could have transferred there without restriction just before ARR went live. I mean I see why there needs to be a restriction for legacy to new server but legacy to legacy is retarded.

Since maintenance I've been getting the intermittent R0/rubberbanding outside of Duty. I normally don't complain about this kind of shit but it's killing me when some of crafting/gathering abilities don't go off and I waste a node/clusters

That restriction on transferring pisses me off. I want to move to Ragnarok because the EU playerbase on Excalibur is too fragmented but I've got too much gil. They're both legacy servers so there's really no need for a 1mil maximum considering I could have transferred there without restriction just before ARR went live. Haven't checked in a while so unsure how viable it is now but you can always convert your money into allagan currency to transfer your money and circumvent the restriction.

That's the first thing I checked when I saw his post, you're looking at least a 300g markup on Gold pieces but there's only a few that cheap and Silver there's not a whole lot for vendor prices before getting up to 200g overpriced.

You'd have to camp the MB pretty often to get an equivalent exchange rate.

I doubt there's that much allagan currency available, but haven't checked recently. I'd need thousands of them to do that. It's not an immediate need right now anyway, but I just feel my FC is dying and there aren't many alternatives as the EU ones tend to be all one group + bench warmers.

Load up on the most used TIVs.

Not the most ensured method considering how wildly prices can fluctuate if just 1 person with a lot of gil to throw away goes on a penta-meld crusade but materia have more liquidity than pretty much any other item.

Prices right now are also probably at the high end because of the new i90 crafted gear, tho that's just as likely to work against you as it is for you.
