believe it or not, but I find it more exciting and interesting to find out the mechanics of fights myself with the pt. Obviously this only works for PTs that have members that actually have a brain and can learn from mistakes, which is sadly not the case for alot of people. I dont mind wiping several times to a fight I/someone else is new to.
That's fine if you and everyone else are on board, I like doing that too, but don't go in a farm party with that kind of expectation.
In an ideal world there would be more than just learning parties and farms. You'd get the parties advertised as inbetween (IE must be confident with fight until phase 4 etc.) and that is where you'd get your first clear. But it's so easy to lie about your experience that you can only realistically confirm whether a person has won or not whether it be by achievements, gear or whether you can access higher content (hello Ifrit check).
Would be nice if the game logged the furthest % you've been in a fight, then you could set PF to only allow people who have been < 50% or whatever to join your party. That way you could have progressive learning parties. But that's too complex for the average person so it would never happen.
Addendum: ilevel 90 tanks who lose hate to my SCH's DPS and whine that I'm the incompetent one.
Stun-happy DRGs in Trial Roulette: Ifrit. I wouldn't normally give a shit but nobody knows how to dodge eruptions and it's retarded to have people dying to them this far past the content release date.
On that note, DRGs in Roulette to begin with. I swear, they don't know how to do anything.
Haven't logged in since Saturday because I'm rocking a 10 hour no-drop streak on Atma, 6/12 and 40 hours in so far. Log in this morning, zero people doing FATEs this morning, spend an hour, do 20 FATEs or so, log out again. Think I'm done till they up the drop rate on that. It's a shame, cause I was enjoying the game overall but if I wanted to deal with crappy drop rates and rng gods, I'd go back to ffxi.
Man your ass must be chapped, you could like.. do something else. It's not like atma relics are even that great, you can get better alternatives to tide you over. Then again that is RNG as well, what a terrible game.
Animus weapons are the ultimate welfare, and like any republican I hate people on welfare
Indeed. It's probably much faster to get an atma weapon than a tidal wave weapon. ~2% drop rate on the mirror, 8 people lotting on it = 0.25% chance that any of your kills will reward you with a mirror. Average 8 minutes a kill = 53 hours of kills, plus time for finding parties, inevitable wipes and time getting in and out between kills. Of course you could be lucky and get it on your first kill, but you could also be the unlucky one that takes twice the average. I've no motivation at all to farm this.
Only reason I'm doing it is because I'm assuming these will be further upgrade-able in next patch, and I don't want to have to start at 0/12 atma...
Also not like Levi is raining mirrors.
Cool
i farmed my 12 atma and put my relic back on my retainer.
I'm not farming 1500 myth x 9 for books because they will inevitably either increase the myth drop rate or lower the cost of books.
WHY CAN WE STILL NOT SET OUR HOUSE AS OUR HOMEPOINT.
I can't homepoint to my home, SE logic.
Comcast internet in New Jersey screwing my groups Turn 8 progression for the week. Tuesday was our first day of serious attempts, hitting the 5-7 minute mark consistently, so everyone was excited at the potential of a kill on Wednesday. Some people were going to PAX over the weekend so Wednesday was going to be our only day to raid; we decided to start early that day to get as much time in as possible. First few pulls we get 8 - 9 minutes in so everyone is getting more excited, then our Monk starts to D/C for 30min - 1hour time windows because his internet keeps shutting off. End up farming Leviathin off-an-on for about 3 hours in hopes he comes back consistently. Last hour of the night he gets back, we start pulling some more but obviously people are tired. Start hitting the 9-10 minute mark so we were able to work out all the kinks that were killing us or causing issues. Decide to do 2 more pulls in hopes of a kill before we sleep... Monk D/C's halfway through the fight so we stopfor the night.
Super frustrating, we've spent maybe 3 hours on this fight this week and are so close to a kill to get blocked by connection issues. Now we probably have to wait until Tuesday to try again because no one else in my FC has killed Turn 7. It's tough to pull someone into Turn 8 to help us get a kill without messing up their own group.
Now I'm going to be an anxious gamer nerd all week! At least the fight is fun.
