Book reduction and atma droprate are more likely for 2.3 than 2.25, but it's a minor point. Still going to need to put in the raw hours.

Considering Animus are already nowhere close to BiS, I truly don't expect it will be made easier this upcoming patch. I would expect an upgrade in 2.25, either to 105 or 110, then 120+ in 2.3. MAYBE they'll ease up the requirements/drop rate a bit in 2.35 or 2.4.

If they were going to change the drop rates, they either would've had to do it right away or not for a long time. Easing down content that's working towards an item that will eventually be BiS (theoretically) halfway through that process and before it's at that level is just a slap in the face to all the people who did it while it was still "hard".

I don't expect the relic-line weapons to ever be BiS really, they'll probably always be 2nd behind stuff like Allagan.

Possibly. I feel like the whole point of it is to be slightly below BiS for a while, then as you have to put more total hours in it will become more and more competitive, and eventually exceed other stuff. But considering it's not even better than stuff that's INCREDIBLY easily obtainable right now for hundreds of hours of work, it would be really fucked up of them to nerf that work for the few people who go through with it.

I expect Relic weapons to eventually equal the best in slot. I expect us to have a range of weapons obtainable in different ways and that it will take a while but Zodiac weapons will be competitive and may even pull ahead eventually.

I don't think anything else is as easy to obtain right now. Not everyone has beaten t5, let alone later turns. Not everyone has cleared the extreme primals.

Haven't logged in since Saturday because I'm rocking a 10 hour no-drop streak on Atma, 6/12 and 40 hours in so far. Log in this morning, zero people doing FATEs this morning, spend an hour, do 20 FATEs or so, log out again. Think I'm done till they up the drop rate on that. It's a shame, cause I was enjoying the game overall but if I wanted to deal with crappy drop rates and rng gods, I'd go back to ffxi.

This SMN had Titan Egi out for an entire Brayflox HM Roulette run. I haven't experienced that on tank before. The run took 33 minutes... I was about ready to throw my monitor at the end.

actually 11 doesnt have that amount of RNG anymore on most things. especially not on essential things.

Fuck the retards on Excalibur. I messaged some FC leader who is looking for BLM/BRD DPS for his EU static on the OFs and he's like "BLM sucks can you play SMN?". When I point out I was watching a T6 win video just last night that had not one but two BLMs in the group all he can muster up to say is "k gl". Certainly explains why his group is still seeking DPS 3 weeks after his post on the OFs.

Could just be that the existing BLMs in his FC are terrible, I don't know but that's the first I've heard of the job being useless in Coil 2. DRG and MNK can't exactly attack well while running away from thorns or whatever either, so that leaves BRD and SMN as the only worthwhile DPS in that case. If you need to stack those to beat content then I'm sorry to say but you're making up for a lack of skill.

It has got me wondering just how the DPS jobs stack up for DPS in T6 however. Hard tell from my limited experience of PF groups wiping as soon as the first Blighted smacks them in the face. There's always going to be fights where some jobs are worse than others but I see no justification for it in T6.
