Was there a maintenance today or anything from 8 AM ET until now? I opted to leave my guy in the game when I left for work this morning (yes I am a dick) and I'm just wondering if there's a reasonable chance I'll still be in game when I get home. Otherwise I'm just going to stay at the office and work late.

Better yet, is there a way to know if your character is logged in game? I'm on the new lodestone right now and I can't find it for the life of me when looking at my profile.

All of my friends who play on Playstation have been able to get on and play with no issues. My fiancé and I haven't been able to log in pretty much since Saturday night and we both play on computer. Hmmm....

Doing a story quest from NPC Warin

Asks me to wear ilvl 5 gear in my main slots before I can proceed.

I thought this game was supposed to be casual!!!! It forced me to spend gil! haha

(I thought the game was easy, I was running around in my starter gear from 1-11 and never struggled -- any option from quests I chose the Gil Nugget)

Now I look ugly, might just don my starter gear back on lol

Not sure about D/c, but I don't think so, as it still puts you back in the instance. You get the 15min for qutting the instance early.

I really hope they figure out a better solution than throttling logins. Because this 1017 error will turn a lot of people off if they get on tomorrow and aren't able to play because of it.

My queue had 19 people. 1017'd two minutes later. It looks like they keep making new servers, as if people are gonna fucking reroll after dumping 25+ hours on theirs already.

I believe you're correct, and the limit seems to be around 300. It's also fucking up the actual queues though, people have complained a lot about getting queue then getting errors and shit, and when I finally got on this morning it put me in the queue and said ~270, then let me in game like 10 seconds later. The first time I got on period it was a queue of about 50 and took 2-3 minutes.


now I'm in, sitting outside of the archer class quest instance waiting for a duty finder I had already queued...

Doesn't seem to be a limit on the queue. Its gone up as high as 1100 for me.

Free server transfers would seem to be the thing to do, but I don't think they will go for it. If they do my friend and I will certainly take advantage of it. If the new server is low population later you can always do a paid transfer and get on a server you really want.

I seriously haven't been able to play more than a couple of hours this morning between 5am and 8am pst since Saturday evening. Pretty much fed up even though I know this is headstart.

haven't been able to get on all day except a few minutes earlier around lunch, then errored changing zones and back to 1017.

just so disgusted at the idea of having to spam login to get in so i gave up and have only been trying sporadically throughout the day for a few minutes at a time.

Actually, I wonder if a "market-based" solution might work - Paid server transfers, where if you are located on a near- or at-capacity server and you migrate to a low-pop server, you get like a free week of game time or something.
