FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

It seems in 2013 people have no time to be social or courteous anymore.

Was heading to some quest in a tunnel which spawns a few mobs. He was near dying, and as I was 1 or 2 levels above the probably suggested level, I Flashed all the mobs around me and took them down. He proceeded to DPS them down. Fired off a /say saying how I hope he got credit and why I took them off him. He just went to finish up the quest and ran off.

I'm thinking A THANKS WOULD BE NICE ASSHOLE!

No bow, no thanks, nothing, haha.

The world is going to be a fucked up place in 2020.

is it sad that i just logged in this morning so that hopefully i am logged in later when i get home from work and might not have to deal with the server crap? #beingtheproblemftw

Sometimes people are completely clueless as to what's going on as well. I randomly one shot mobs that are about to kill lowbies as I'm running around, and they just run off as if they killed it. I don't get a "thanks" most of the time, and I'm pretty sure it's because they literally have no idea what the fuck just happened.

That doesn't make it any better, just sayin.

JP Only. Says they are upgrading facilities for that notice, but they never mentioned that in the dozen they sent out for the NA/EU servers. GG S-E.

I did the same. Got my CE code in my email this morning. Applied the code to my account, logged my character out and in and afked somewhere. Here's to hoping I'm still logged in when I get home.

Uh... Yeah they won't build more servers for NA, just more for JP onry. They don't want money from NA players I guess. I have to assume you guys are just being facetious but I have been wrong before.

It depends. The chat log, with certain types of spam, can make it hard to catch stuff. I also didn't waste time going through emote menu to do /bow when I didn't have a keyboard on ps3

By the time they get this implemented they'll have pissed off to many people who won't want to play anymore, and there new servers will be wasted. Probably not, but lol. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I am. I'm more annoyed that it took them until this morning to announce these plans only after JP servers were being closed to creation as well. NA/EU servers were having problems with congestion all weekend and we heard nothing other than "we're lowering cap on current players allowed online and in queue." They should have realized this sooner and began preparing to upgrade, and if they had already done that, they should have announced it sooner to at least look like they are doing something.

It is poor communication on their part which is upsetting because they had been fairly good about keeping people up to date throughout the beta phases. I understand this kind of thing happens often for launch; WoW was no different and Aion had problems as well. They need to communicate better is what it comes down to.

What's worse is I'm on the server I want to be on, but my friends aren't. I can progress while they're stuck and are already deciding to roll on a different server because they're tired of it.

Man can the damn registering and all that shit be any more of a pain in the ass? Getting all the preorder and registering the game has just been awful imo. I almost added a service account because shit wasn't exactly clear. I bet some people have done this already, and that has to suck.

It's all jacked up...even the "queue system". Last night, I go to login and it fails/errors the first time. I go through making a character, no NA servers available. I go back out, pick my original 1.0 character, get a login message "97 in queue"....I click OK, boom, I'm logged in and rolling.

Yep, this is a major, major issue that they seem to be completely ignoring, and it'll cost them a good number of subscriptions if they don't address it today (should have been addressed after phase 4).
