FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

Joined a group for T6 last night, spent over an hour trying to enter. Kept saying someone in the group has progressed further then the leader. We rotated out every single player, let everyone attempt to enter and kept getting the same error. We then all zoned, logged out, no luck. After half the party left we replaced them and tried again, no luck. Wasted an entire night with no explanation.

not if they rotated leader to each one and had them try to enter, you would eventually be able to enter something (t7? not sure how you would beat t6 and not remember it...but i forget shit I'm doing right now, all the time)

Thats what we thought, then we filled the entire pty with LSmates that have never beat t6.

When my static was learning T5, we went to enter it for the first time one week and gave us the same error. Previous raid night we had stopped after T4 and not entered T5 at all. Turns out entering T5 gave you progress over those who had just beat T4. Took us a bit to realize that, as one member had joined a learning group during the week to practice.

General:

-Having your chocobo out killing your SB rate.

-The way the mouse cursor doesn't auto-hide when using a controller unless you select a window or something

-The cross-hotbar always being unlocked every time you log in for some reason.

-Tried PvP for the first time after seeing the badass new armor sets, now I know why no one does it, complete waste of art assets.

For PvP grab two others and queue as a group of three, it's far more fun that way. Also, stay out of 50's until you have real PvP gear: we're queuing 40's in full HQ melded/pink gear until we have the i70 sets.

Wrong thread for it, but playing MRD, popping B4B, Raging, IR, Berserk, and mowing down a healer is way fun.

Also, tangentially related complaint: why are ability recasts not reset when entering an instance. "Oh shit I can't use Purify cause I used it last match".

They aren't? I could swear they were before 2.2 when I did it for a couple dozen matches.

All skill CDs reset completely in every new match. You can even use CDs before you enter and they'll be reset.

real players just aoe down the pull while having your OT tank the golem near by but facing away from the MT to avoid boulder clap or w/e its called.

Sac pulling to the first golem does save time. The second half seems like a waste though since it's just five mobs. PUGs don't handle exceptions very well though.

I will admit sac pulling to the first golem will save you some time if you can pull it off, if you are able to pull it off without a hitch that is. By "some time" I mean maybe 20 seconds (yay speedrun).

Lord help you with a random DF group though. The success/failure rate for me has reached, "let's not bother with this pls" territory.

I've seen way too many random groups fuck it up enough to say fuck it, can we just kill the mobs and get this over with?

Are some fates linked to other ones? There's no information on it, so I often end up killing every fate close to the one I want, geographically or in the description...

I think they long ago decided to take the easier route by making the game's economy pretty irrelevant to begin with.

It's so easy to get money that I can afford gear up to 50. (if they weren't already quest and leve rewards) The only way I can see RMT having any influence is if we see the elitist bullshit that plagued FFXI.
