Titan HM needs to be taken off Duty Roulette Trials...

I was pleasantly surprised to get a Hydra over the weekend but I'd say I've had 70% Titan, 25% Ifrit and 5% random other stuff.

I like getting Titan. it's a fun little challenge in itself seeing if your group can beat it with a mix of first timers and dodge failers. I get Garuda more than anything else though.

I get Titan a lot on roulette, but I only ever go as in-need (which is 90% tank, 10% heal) for the free gil, so as long as there's one competent person on either side of that role, it's typically a free win in modern gear since all last phase needs is a tank, a healer, and a silencer (if tank isn't PLD) to survive the last phase.

t8 was up few hours before I was headed to work. Put in about 40 mins on blm, noticed smn was the lowest dps to the other 4 dps. I was floating around 1-2. Asked if it was ok to jump out and change smn, was curious why other smn was doing so poorly and wanted to see what I could hit. They decided to rep me and not let me attempt once we exited since I had an hour left D: dunno how the rest of their run went would need kirby's input. I tried my best to call out moves for them too of incoming mechanics but sounded like they needed the voice to tell them what to do/prep for.

Spent the next hour laughing at the bard for making every mistake possible.

Actually got a Titan roulette that succeeded without the Echo. Still as sloppy as hell, but a win's a win, I guess.

Obligatory complaint: What's up with the amount of roulette healer suckage lately? Every day in at least one roulette, I end up having to spam Physick (on BLM) in at least one fight. Yesterday's specials were Halatali HM, featuring a WAR and me against Pyracmon (easy, but takes a loooooong time); and Titan Easy, featuring a PLD and me vs. old-mound-o'-rubble (also easy, but at 180-200 HP a cast at that level, pretty annoying to keep tank topped off and me filled enough to survive the occasional two-stomp).

I doubt we'll see that until 2.4 and by then they'll be as easy to carry people through as the hard modes.

Yes, that was me. The healer forgot to hit the mammet activation thingy. He and the other DPS died, you lived through it, and I had my own Manawall going.

Not even sure I'm complaining all that much, it was quite amusing, and the rest of the dungeon went fine.

Oh I remember that run now. The other dps hit the switch like right when it came up and burned the mammet shield way before swing happened. That was fun though, was a highlight of my runs I did yesterday.

I did like 7 expert roulettes yesterday to cap soldiery and got all Halatali/amdapor. Its nice not getting brayflox because everyone is manually queueing it.

Watching that makes me remember a complaint from over the weekend.

We were doing all-FC PvP matches, and we couldn't queue together. Tried various things for nearly 30 minutes to no avail. Someone mentions that they have a similar issue when playing FPSs in that sometimes it won't let certain people queue together for unknown reasons. We switch the melee DPS between the two parties, lo and behold, it queues us just fine. It makes no sense. Later, it happened again immediately after a match when we didn't even change members. Swapped the tanks between parties; queue worked again. wtf

had a garuda HM as a trial roulette, dps was in demand so I went in on that. SCH says they are new to the fight, everyone else is i90 plus so we figure no biggy -- one tank drops. Manage to get it on the second kill with solo tank and no LB, first time was unlucky with WW hitting too many. Its just silly that someone would drop when everyone else was massively overgeared.

Gear is going from "certain gimp" to "probably gimp". I've had Titan HM fail with full party of i90+ because people continue to be terrible. Done Garuda where i90 are doing <100dps.

Yesterday I had a tank wearing T5 helm (so he's not a total idiot, right? nope!) lose hate to my BRD on Ifrit HM, then of course it was my fault for pulling hate and dying. Maybe he's friends with this one tank I ran Levi with whose first move on the tail when it popped was Fracture.

ooooh man I don't even know how I forgot until just now about this. Doing T1 to finish some of the very last pieces of coil gear I need when I get this gem of a BLM. guy has like 4 pieces of soldiery, a blend of DL and some mytho and an i55 weapon and shield low as fuck to match it. I wasn't even dickish when I confronted him about it, I worded it somethin very similar to "dude, you don't even have nq relic you use instead of that?" to which he remained silent and quit moving for like 2minutes. Then our logs get filled with this long ass QQ about how "he's sorry he goes to college and works part time and doesn't have time to be 1337 like us" to which I point out I take 4 classes and work full time and manage to have a weapon above i60 and if he didn't have time why the fuck is he rockin soldiery, playing in coil and no relic when he obviously had to beat Titan HM to even get coil access. His argument instantly changes to "I hate 2H weapons and it's my 12.95 and I'll play however I want". After that bit people started leaving the PT. I reaaaaaaaaally wish I took screenshots.

I was doing a CT over the weekend on my BLM to replace some of this Darklight I'm still wearing because my myth is currently being thrown into books for my WAR weapon. The party I got thrown into has both tanks at roughly 5k HP (pre-defiance). One tank is in AF and buyable accessories. I'm fine with that, people gotta start somewhere. The other tank has a Bravura, so I had to examine him to see how he managed that little HP and still have a Bravura. This guy is wearing a couple pieces of AF still, a couple pieces of the i55 militia gear, some other random shit accessories, but what do I see in the ring slots? An Aetheryte Ring and a Wolf Turquoise Ring (i55 MND PvP ring). The group manages to make it all the way the final boss (many slip ups along the way, as you might imagine). We get to Acheron and the WAR goes "Oh dang, I just lost 1k HP, my gear broke? Are we going to be okay?". I snapped. I was like, dude your gear is shit and you're not even tanking, nobody gives a shit if your gear is broken. Oddly enough, several of the party members took the side of the WAR even after I clarified what rings the WAR was using and they were all "We all have to start somewhere, man", (I can only imagine they queued with him or something) and the WAR chimes in with this gem: "I love my rings. They let me reach the iLv required to enter." He then went on to complain that I was being elitist, of course, because expecting general competency means you're elite now. You can get a free class-appropriate i55 ring by completing your hunting log! Oh my god. How can you even... ugh.

This is actually the 2nd time I've run into that tank. The first time (CT, again) I was tanking and he stood in front of me at Bone Dragon, even though I was tanking, taking unnecessary damage from every cleave, and obviously not handling any skeletons either. I think his char's 1st name was Brutus, in case anyone else runs into him. He is trash.

I want to scream every time I see some random bad in DF who is wearing something totally lazy like this (like any DRG wearing full myth + aiming or fending ring). "We all have to start somewhere" is bullshit. You know where to start? The fucking market board.
