FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

Been trying to find replacement blm for our group and brought someone in for T6 who had i94 and animus weapon. Pulled 160 dps whole fight, other night had another blm only able to pull 190. Why is it so hard to find a decent blm.

I know man lol. Our smn couldn't make our last T6 run so we PF'd a dps and a blm joined, looked decently geared. I pulled it 254 or so, i think he barely taped 160. Even on my very first attempts at T6 I was pulling more than that.

I still keep my old FC's social LS with me and I try to help out other blm's with rotation and link em to the guide we have here on BG when I can, but a surprising amount of people don't understand the job. This weekend I helped a good friend of mine in-game figure out how to play BLM since I noticed his dmg output is waaaaaay lower than mine even when you bring in the different ilvls into consideration. Like once I explained to him why I do things how I did it it just kinda clicked for him and he was like that makes so much more sense. Doing T4 the this past weekend as WAR so I can get allagan gloves for my PLD and a BLM in my group did chain flares only. Even on solo targets. Like he solely started playing blm for bray or something.

Beyond the fact of him losing hate on the tail and adds, regen/stoneskin was not enough to keep him alive so we kept getting stacks healing him.... even though we were winning it was so frustrating that I will never party with him again.

We also get lots of tanks who refuse to spend 600 myth to upgrade their relic but spend thousands of myth upgrading everything else then tell us not to do things like cast medica 2 cause it pulls hate.

Not that I would, but I should be able to pop medica 2 before the pull and not pull hate ever.

Nah, I'm sayin I've played with you and you're not a fuckhead like some of these guys listed. I'd take a lesser gear, competent player any day over some chode who won't use shield oath or uses flare only. My alt sch is still chillin at like i74 and I heal better than 80% of the people I come across in DF.

Your problem is here inside this very specific sentence for 2 reasons, 1st is that you may have looked like an idiot for calling him out on something very trivial the way you did it. 2nd is that its CT, a WAR isn't going to make it or break it, most of the time we have to sit on a tower or spam Storm Path/eye for the other tank cos y'know... its CT...

This would have been more of a problem if the 5 other tanks were wearing crap gears, but 1 out of 6 isn't going to ruin anyone's day. From what you're telling it seems that you were being an ass, sorry ^^;

I'm well aware that some people don't approve with that way I told him. I wasn't going to say anything, but when he seriously asked if we'd be okay if he had some broken gear, I had to speak up and tell him that he was a waste of a party member slot and I didn't care if he was naked or even locked out.

Bad players are a constant in the universe, like the speed of light, or Myley Cyrus being a slapper. If you manage to dispatch one, there will just be more of them rising from the depths to replenish their ranks.

T6 is quite hard for BLM. Constant spell interrupts due to running etc. Probably the worst DPS you can take.

I am sorry but as far as we know the guy could have been a new player, his chance of getting gears in the DR are low because now everyone is SRing the hell out of the shit and people make a drama if you kill one more monster on the way to a coffer because it add one minute more to the timer, and anyway what would be the point to farm myths to get iLv90 in order to do a raid rewarding you with iLv80 gears?

So I wonder, what is the best option for "these players" at the moment? They are being rejected from everywhere, they even encounter hostile ppl in Wander Palace because the mentality says that it should be done in 10 mins, so Imagin Pharos Sirus where iLv90+ ragequit.. lol

It appears that my abilities don't fire properly. they are cancelled in the middle of the animation messing up with my rotations/combos.

Your argument falls apart when we get to the part where he was boasting about being proud of his useless rings. That's a player with no interest in his impact on others, and it can be very hard if not impossible to get people like that to realize there are 23 other people grouped with him. You're painting him as some poor, newly-50 character with no one to help him gear up, but as Raldo mentioned he had a Bravura.

He's a shit player. It's his responsibility to find out why, not anyone else's to teach him how to not be retarded.

I would say that its your own interpretation. I DO NOT excuse/white knight the said WAR, as its a cheap alternative (Aether Ring betwin 1.5k - 3k) to raise your iLv for a requirment, but many many people did that before him, only difference is that these people were using Myths & EX accessories from another job/class to do it, gimping them as bad, I saw many Healer main join PF on MNK/DRG/BRD with MND accessoryies.. and vice versa.

This is again a personal interpretation, and funnily enough once more everyone behave in such a way nowaday, so he's fitting in the playerbase just as fine as anyone else.
As for the "He had a Bravura" it does not mean anything, as much as we know he could be a new player carried in Titan HM by his FC because as of today any good player can do it with 1 Tank + 4 DPS XD, its wrong, but thats part of the "No Veteran help new players" argument, not this one.
