I think you have to unequip weapon first if I remember correctly from when I reset mine; but still I hit that shit at least once a day.

It could be set to 8 man content only.
The reason I like the idea is people don't like being told they suck or being corrected. (especially the younger generation) Showing them data however can help them understand. Since we can't talk about parsing, a game based ranking system could help people understand just how bad/good they are.
You guys use controller, I guess? I just hit Escape to get out of that menu. I don't think I've ever once used "Quit"
Nah mouse, but I navigate everything in there with mouse so esc never really occurs to me.
This ^
BUt will try get used to hitting escape thanks.
Showing people data won't change the stubborn as it fails to budge most in RL. Bads will just find an excuse like lag, mobs moving, tanks fault or whatever can be floated as a reasonable excuse. Nothing will stop a bad from living in a delusion that they're doing it right and the whole of reality has it wrong. It could be set to 8 man content only.

It's troublesome enough XIV is setup purely vertical which makes it difficult to do easy dungeons without vets feeling like they're carrying you because you aren't running around in the top-tier gear. If you can't beat a boss multiple times then its time to consider using vote kick on the problem, explain the boss (this is a big one) or explain your terms in the PF. Once we start getting spreadsheet-centric in a purely vertical game it's the upstarts who will be snubbed alongside the bads even if you're not getting hit by attacks and generally doing what you're supposed to do.
That feeds into a vicious cycle where we then complain we can't find good players because they've all left us with bads.
Even on a controller, Circle/B will close it without needing to select Quit.
Woosh what an agressivity, I don't smoke any herb but I could recommend one for you, its called Kalm Tablets.
And maybe it was a bad BRD? The other way around is very possible. Maybe the target(s) were not dancing a lot leaving you plently of room to execute your combos perfectly, we know nothing about the events, just you being aggressive on a forum.
Oh really, thats why yesterday I did more damage than a BLM with Relic Animus wearing my relic Zenith on Twintania? I had procs nearly every 2 Fires, he did not.
Funnily from what you say it does not seems to go that way
In addtion, a MNK losing GL have to rebuild it, a conflag destroyed slowly is enough to make you lose it, Superbomb/Graol are enough to make you lose it if your other DPS are not reactive fast enough.
Anyway I was talking about a generality using own experience, good for you if you could outparse a bad BRD in a fight that doesn't require you to move often.
Could you be one of them?

If everyone had parsers, it'd bring more into perspective when people start posting their average numbers in so-and-so gear for others to be able to compare themselves to.
On that note, add-on support when? We're on month nine and still no news of it, besides old excuse of holding back stuff to prioritize the PS4 port, which came out a month ago now. I want a sanctioned environment to have calculators and UI customization in, since SE is taking their sweet time doing basic things themselves.
In some interview it was stated they are done. But now need to find a time that they should release it. As in we will do it if we feel like it.
I think the real last reason was "working on letting Gil sellers play for real" or the game being released in China.
And here I thought it was a FF7 joke. >_>Kalm Tablets

Yeah, let's not show a dps meter in-game, because it's important to let everyone believe everybody is playing at the same level of skill. Great! In fact, let's just remove damage text entirely.
An in-game damage done meter isn't going to lie. If you're doing less DPS in a primal fight than a tank, that just happened. Hiding the damage done isn't going to change it. Yes, classes are built to do more damage in different situations. Smart people will learn eventually. Others never will. How many people do you see try to argue that warriors are godlike tanks because they have so much more HP than paladins? Do you care what those people think?

Read the posts from a few pages back about burn out and such and wanted to comment. We had some rocky starts with coil2 but got a solid group together within the FC and got to t8 about a week ago. We couldn't find a WAR so our SCH agreed to gear out his WAR and roll that and we picked up a SCH from the FC. We just found out yesterday that the WAR is burned out and is quitting June 1st. He says it is burn out but honestly I believe it is simply him not liking tanking at all, he loves SCH. Having almost all drops being either healer with some sprinkles of caster doesn't help any.
In addition to the issues of the static, many others in the FC are claiming burn out as well and are barely logging on, which I think is bs. They all want to raid but they all have different times and varying schedules etc. Seeing the one other static progressing in the FC is depressing to them. Some of them attempted to clear t6 through groups they would create but that would end horribly, every time and knowing whats waiting for them in t7, they just say fuck it. Lets be honest, clearing t7 in a PUG group would be next to impossible. PF groups for coil2 on my server is rare as it is. The main static was formed mainly by availability and a set work/school schedule so we consistently raid week after week. It just sucks....if your FC is not built primarily of people of similar interests(raiding) and similar schedules it is hard to make shit work.
Yeah, they really need to change up their formula soon, or else they're going to shed a lot of subs. My FC is has had coil group after coil group either fail to fully form or completely fall apart due to similar reasons. This locked-style 8-man stuff isn't going to be sustainable.
