I suppose I should have been a bit more specific.

The shortcut won't work if the quest reward is given to you in a cutscene since it keeps you from pulling anything up besides the chatlog during scenes. I've just encountered it a lot since I've been burning through most of the Main Scenario Quests as Arcanist for the EXP and gear (hence needing to compare items a lot). :/

Ah sorry, never even realized. For the most of the MSQ past level 30 I've just been taking the gil so I never had a problem. :\

Honestly, I like when it does that. It makes me feel like, hey, at least its trying to get me in... instead of just automatically turning me down cold with a black screen 1017 error.

come back home at 5 pm and still logged in.

clearly people idling 24/7 has nothing to do with the server congestion.

I just got in after about an hour of trying on and off.

I don't even have much time to play since classes just started this week, idgaf, not logging out.

Spend all day at work today trying to get laptop reformatted so that I can play this shit on it at some point. Get home, only feel like playing on PC.

1017 since 330pm, now I'm forced to use autohotkey to bind my mouse clicks on monitor while I drool at my TV since I have nothing else to do.

Think I'll ever log out again? I don't. Tired of getting fucked, time to return the favor.

This. I played by the rules, not taking that chance again.

Also, why are people crying over yoshi p? There is no light at the end of the tunnel while people are paying for subs and can't login on launch day (or the past week and a half for that matter). The dude might have remade an entire game, but that doesn't mean squat while I'm here wondering why their servers can't even handle a login que. This is downright embarrassing. He -should- he crying in public, we're literally lining up to give them a second chance and all we get is a "we apologize for the inconvenience".

At the rate I'm going I'll only need to attempt the Sunken Temple of Qarn three more times before I can clear it to the end without getting a 90k mid run.

I agree but I'm directing that more towards the people who are logged in afk for an extreme amount of time that I always see when in town.

WTF is the difference between being in queue, and 1017? I'll keep spamming and move further down the queue, and then eventually get 1017ed. Is there even a point in trying?

the only solution i've found is to log in at off peak hours(7-8am est i always log in first try) and dont log out. ever.
