Why is it people that say things like:

always parse like:

To be fair it's probably his lack of skill in how to play BLM that is making him parse so much worse than the other BLM rather than his gear. Unless the ilevel differences are huge. Though you would think someone saying gear is over rated would be parsing well with low gear rather than the other way around.

Situations like that can also arise from luck. I mean if the other guy is a bit slow with his rotation or happens to target a mob that dies before his last flare goes off and you get 3 flares on a pull vs his 2 that can be a difference of 7-8k damage right there. When I way out parse another BLM it's usually because he hasn't used an ether and I get more flares off. But you're talking a 50% increase in damage for Spike vs Chaotic so I'll assume he's just generally terrible.

I think the point is that people that usually stick with the "gear is overrated..." story, usually haven't heard the "...but skill isn't" part lol, but yeah, 1 mis-timed flare, or target mob dies during double flare mp tic wait time or something little can cause a big spike in dmg difference, or even the dreaded worthless transpose leaving you with AF3 up, cursing at inanimate objects in your room because SE is slow at fixing problems.

Impatient fucks who literally can't wait 2 bloody whole minutes to see if the BLM that unceremoniously disappeared from their Halitali HM run will come back. Game crashed, I was back in a minute-thirty to find I've already been kicked. Now I get to sit in DPS roulette limbo for another 25 minutes.

I hope they got a replacement as incompetent as their tank (who couldn't hold hate for more than 5 seconds off me).
