I'm complaining that i felt the need to cancel my sub because all i had been doing for the last month was logging in to do the minimum amount of DRs to soldi cap by the end of the week, my daily map, and retainer ventures. I wasn't having fun anymore, which bums me out.

Yoshi, please get some real fucking overworld endgame into the game, there is no reason GW2 (a freemium) game should be kicking this games ass so hard. None.

Ran into a bad DRG the other night when trying to help a friend on Copperbell HM. Didn't dodge, was equipped in AF (having 300 less hp than the BLM), and had his equipment break on the last boss. Nothing special, but obviously a new 50.

Then I got to thinking, this guy had no way to get Darklight (if he's failing on Copperbell HM, he's not going to make anything other than maybe WP or AK). That doesn't excuse failing to repair and not dodging, but how was this guy ever going to be able to bring his damage to a mediocre level if the game cut out easy access to those intermediary armor pieces? Do you tell a new 50 who doesn't have a FC to bash away at those until he gets ilvl 55 equipment or get GC equipment?

I was happy that they got rid of philosophy, but now I'm wondering if that's a mistake.

First win equals items you can lot on, anything after that equals loot lock out but you can still fight.

It amazes me this still isn't in game and standard. Do they not realize how far the good outweighs the bad with this system? Like how much larger the player pool becomes when players can actually go back and help other players with content they already cleared? Boggled.

I got my 4th char to 50 yesterday (MNK) (yes I'm this fucking bored). I had HQ i55 Militia/Imperial Operative crap, HQ i55 relic precursor, and shitty lv49 belt/ear/rings. Less than 8 hours later I was up to i63 with various dungeon drops, Myth wrist, and NQ relic. Before that I was in very low i50s. My first run in Brayflox HM after I hit i56, I outparsed a fucking single target shit rotation BLM all day. Said BLM had full i90. In all the other dungeons and HM primals I did (every one that gives sol except Lost City), I frequently did very well if not better than better-geared DPS who didn't know how to play their fucking job.

Yeah I knew how to play MNK already. Because I fucking paid attention to what my abilities do. I have no sympathy for the bad DRG in your example because it was not the gear that made him bad.

Although in that DRG's defense, Copperbell hard is a shit dungeon. Everything about the final boss is tuned poorly. AoE you literally can't avoid unless you're a psychic and unshakeable adds when healers don't want to do rock duty and your DPS are 2 melee.

MSQ Roulette

That alone is 210 mytho, go do some CT for filler gear and even more mytho and you're well on your way to i90 without setting foot in High Level/Expert Roulette.

Also what ilvl 70 crafted gear that is still around is piss cheap.

Guy just sounds bad and Copperbell HM is a terrible place to farm up gear.

If he/she has some money then he/she could buy a ilvl70 weap off the AH and then proceed to Halatali/Amdapor City for DL upgrades (the low ilvl reqs aren't hard to meet) while getting tomes for ilvl90/ilvl100 stuff. Both of those dungeons are so painfully easy that it's almost impossible to lose and with the influx of overgeared peeps running them you can get carried / do your best till DL drops working in some primals when ilvls increase.

ilvl55 gear is pretty cheap or you can go the instanced route and repeat AK/WP.

Really the worst part of being a fresh 50 is those initial levels where you're literally 1-2 ilvls away from getting into Brayflox and company.

I agree that the guy should be doing low level and main storyline roulettes for myth, but the chance of him having unlocked trial roulette is near zero.

I'd just avoid Brayflox as a newbie simply cause it's where everyone flocks for a soldiery SR and it's where you're most likely to be vote kicked in the DF. Fewer people will complain about Amdapor City or Halatali and all the DL will yours for the taking. Haukke runs the risk of being unable to beat the final boss and Pharos isn't even worth the efforts.

A fresh lvl50 should have enough money to at least cross into endgame with a few purchased ilvl55 pieces or at least a lvl70 weap. Copperbell is just overall shit, avoid unless you get roulette'd into it.

When I leveled my Alt I just spammed ct and haukke hm for gear then bought Myth and i70 accessories. Got my relic and beat ultima at i75, then beat garuda at i80..etc
