FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

oh god. i can't stand healers who don't nuke and i especially can't stand scholars who don't nuke 95% of the time in dungeons (and that might not even be enough). can't say i blame a rando tank for being worried about his rando healer in a dungeon, but it should be pretty obvious who is and who isn't gonna let you die.

Actually had the reverse of this tonight. Had the tank demand we kick either the healer or him in a DF Brayflox because the healer wouldn't all out DPS. The healer wouldn't all out DPS because the Tank was doing full pulls with 5k odd HP. I know the healer and they always all out DPS with me on tank so it was purely it being a random DF tank / low HP which made them not do it. (Tank had low HP due to DPS gear, which is fine, as long as the healer is ok with it)

Stupid thing was, this kicked off during the second boss. Which we killed in ~8 mins anyway so hardly a bad run. In the end the tank went AFK and we cleared the rest of the run without him (3rd random member actually vote kicked him and he rejoined but I'm sure he thought it was me or the healer that did it).

Was just annoying because replacing either the tank or healer takes longer than the ~4-5 mins to carry on and clear. Neither of them were wrong with their point, was just a stupid situation.

5k hp is pretty low even with dps gear though. it's basically the HP tanks had when people were still trying to get their first relics, so i'd never blame a healer for being uncomfortable with it.

My was is i102 in dps gear and has something like 5789 hp without food. It's a mix of dps accessories though and not i70 crafted shit.

It was 5k odd. Upper 5k, just can't remember how much. Was definitely less than 6k. Originally we thought his gear had broke on the first pull since he entered with 7k+ HP. I never checked him, I only knew he was in DPS gear because he said he was.

It was just so ridiculous. I could understand on a shitty run but not on a sub 8 minute one. If the tank hadn't re-entered I would have honestly thought he was just fishing for a votekick after 2nd boss to avoid penalty.

When I do expert as a WHM, I hardly dps because I just don't trust stance dancing while playing wirelessly on play station. I will throw up 2-3 holys with cleric stance up but of the tank is group pulling I won't all out dps.

i cant think of anything before SV where a sch has to heal if the DD/tank can dodge. I forget last night in tam tara that I was not a smn and almost used the LB lol

In that zone there in one time I have to cast a cure spell, the final set of none "boss" mobs the group of 4~5 forget the number. One cure spell at 50% and that is it, the rest can be done with just the pet. Same goes for halatali outside the final boss, and that only needs healing if DD are slow to take out the fire eles. Id say brayflox is the first one where you cant AFK win.

as for SR, fuck I never DPS unless its a group i know. One wipe will end the PT and waste even more time, not worth saving 1min vs waiting 5min again.

I did a Cutter's Cry last night as PLD and had a SCH that never popped Cleric's Stance and did anything but stand next to me and spam Cure. Not Physick. Cure. And when I say spam, I mean spam. I don't think I was ever 300 HP under my max the entire run.

I assumed he was some kind of bot, but he actually kited the antlion adds on the first boss so I had some glimmer of hope. Then on the second boss, he stood in the middle of the room and got one pieced when the worm jumped back up from the sand and said "I forgot he does that". Then on Chimera, he gets nearly one shotted by Ram's Voice because he kept insisting on standing next to me for the entire run.

Explain this phrase to me. Is there another meaning besides another way to say one shot? because i'm definitely stealing it.

There is a Big Difference between cure and physick for Scholar

If you can't see it, well i dunno what to tell you

Didn't even know it insta-killed you after a certain time lol, thought it'd just lower you to 0 if you stay in too long.

I've had the misfortune of being in there with a spectacularly clueless MNK who never switched to the maw. After about 3 chews, I got spat out for 3685 damage (probably all my remaining HP now that I think of it; I start life around 4700 in party w/o food). Had never seen it before, either.

EDIT: Almost forgot the obligatory complaint: Fuck breaking materia on an 82% meld for the sphere scroll.

Probably because no one ever saw his third devour before 2.28 ninja'd his AI to make devour usage based on HP% instead of time.

DPS wearing wrong class accessories to do roulettes. If your ilevel is that terrible, go on the class you got the accessories for in the first place.

Also 99% of the BLMs and DRGs in DF.
