80 people out of the 30-40k that play on any given server would still be considered a scarce minority (80/30,000 = 0.26%)
To be honest at this point if you aren't even clearing Turn 8 on a regular basis, its time to take a good look at your members and group if you're getting frustrated to the point of wanting to bang your head against a wall.
Coeurl is not like that at all, there's never any party finder groups for Turn 6-9, never shouts, it's like a closed market that you need a static for (which I also don't see shouts recruiting for.) After my static broke up after 2.2 came out and you could spam coil all you want, I beat Turn 5 with two friends and random PF members, have yet to even try Turn 6, since there still are people that somehow, can't down 5.
well, if the complaint is that there is nothing to do in the game besides log in and do a novus daily, that means t9 has been cleared already. for the rest of the active population, they still have "something to do" (coil). Even if this "something to do" is sucking away their happiness (12 hour weeks on T8. ouch). So the complaint that there's nothing to do in the game besides log in and grind luminary/novus belongs only to the scant minority of active players that have cleared t9. for everybody else there's leveling, there's soldiery, there's titan extreme, etc. so, 80 out of ~30k.
and to those complaints i say well yes, we are 1 week away from a new content patch, this is the most likely time to be bored with the game.
Guess I am weird. At one point I was doing coil with my main group, my alt group, and then progression on turn 9 with two additional groups in my FC who were still learning for a few weeks straight (I played on extra alts). I legitimately love to raid I suppose.
The something to do and "coil" for some people is not actually going into coil and playing. That would be nice, it's the sitting in pf for hours waiting on a sch or melee with a group that will ultimately fail and everyone knows it. Or looking for people with similar schedules and like mindedness to actually practice which at this point is just a waste of time.
^I agree. There nothing fun to do in the open world and there is no fun PvP. Having only one worthwhile "raid" in the game is pretty ridiculous.
Locking shit to set numbers for everything is going to drive everyone in my fc away. Shit sucks when we have 3,5,6,7,9+ people online. If anything but intervals of 4 or 8 are on we are saying "fuck you" to someone.
And no one event that is locked out once done for the week does not count as something to keep people around.
Oh you cleared t6 this week! Well fuck we need a random person. "Oh your kid has a baseball game tonight? Well fuck you , you screwed us out of any coil loot unless we plan to trust a random , and we don't"
I'm sorry the system they have in place is just fucking horrendous. I mean ya 11 needed lots higher numbers but it was god damn rare that my group be it 3 or 30 could not find something to do.
I really hate to say it but I think side progress is far better then this outdate everything in 6 months. Call Stockholm Syndrome on me and 11 but god it made events old as fuck relevant . their answer to this, "oh new people need players at low lvls let's give old timers a little extra myth for their grind" no I'm sorry I'd much rather spam god damn maps for myths if it was worth the time. At least that can be fun in small groups and you get some fun fights, tho not hard..
A BLM in duty finder for BL Hard mode doing F3, Flare, Transpose, F3, Flare, Transpose. Not so bad on the trash mobs... But he was doing it on the bosses.
Fucking hell.
Re: T2
Queued with a tank and a healer friend for fun. Told my friends lets kill the rot node for fun, see what happens. The DF people were confused a bit but followed regardless. We reach ADS, they proceed to AFK. Told them that the reason to AFK, Allagan Rot, is gone and there is no reason to wait anymore. We got in, everyone stacked behind ADS. You can imagine the chaos and the confusion that ensued afterwards. Who knew ADS had other moves? lol
I asked them why everyone stacked behind ADS and got kicked from the party. Best 10 minutes spent on DF this week.
Similar story: After waiting the entire countdown, the tank pulls and the group stacks as usual. But this time the tank pulled a little too early and ADS is able to get off a piercing laser before starting the enrage. I'm the only one who dodges it. Five people die. Many lulz were had. You couldn't ask for a more ironic situation.
I got called a noob that doesn't know how to do ads since I pulled ads with 40 sec before enrage instead of 10 sec![]()
all these damn youngen whipper snappers and their blasphemous strategys
