Shit happens? C'monnn.
At first this makes perfect sense, but then I realized they'd still only be playing the 30 days they paid for.I assume they do it so people don't just do their weekly coil -> cancel -> reactivate next week for coil again.
Well, I guess it's not a huge deal. I just think it's a bad system and I apparently missed the explanation of how the payment works. SE's website network has always been really confusing to me though, really hard to find what I'm looking for on it.
Just turn off your automatic billing and let it expire itself
don't remember if it's cellphone or regular phone line but i remember cutting one of these and getting mailed a check for the unused portion. they had to cut service immediately because i switched the number over to another provider.
if you pre-paid and you don't get the full service, you are entitled to money back but SE doesn't have to cut your service. and it would be foolish to think they would store your days so you can come back to it, you either get a refund or you don't.
can you imagine the accounting/cs nightmare if they were to either store days or refund pro-rated days not played
Refunding would be a nightmare; I don't see why storing would be. If the deal is that you get 30 days of play added to your account per bill and the days go inactive when your account does (essentially freezing both together) and they resume when you reactivate until they run out (and then you have to pay again for another 30 days), what's hard about that? It's so simple.
Haha, I'm not sure anything is simple when it comes to SE's billing procedures. Took 'em so long just to provide Fantasias, and they've even said that the current system is only a temporary thing while they get something more legit up and running.
Would you buy a 30 day subway pass, then buy another 30 day subway pass 9 days later, then expect the days to stack?
Would you buy a 30 day subway pass, stop riding the subway for a month, then expect your old pass to keep working?
Why pay for something you already had access to then complain?
Just did a Praetorium with this thing: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/2781732/
Spent the whole run talking about Power Rangers in a not-ironic manner (also being offensively bad at spelling and English in general).
Without having a coil static, it's really hard to enjoy pretty much anything in the game anymore.
When the 1 challenging and rewarding event in the game is inaccessible (unless you win the fucking PUG lottery and find a static looking for a temporary rep) it's really goddamn frustrating.
Speak of the mother fucking devil.
7/8 static in PF needed a rep.
Wanted someone with 6-8 exp, I know 6 and 7 in and out but don't have T8 exp (I asked, said they only wanted someone who knew all the fights).
The fact that it took me all of ~90 mins to learn T7 my first time setting foot in it with an experienced group (won on 4th attempt, was top DPS, only flubbed Voice once) just makes it even more frustrating. Not claiming I could learn T8 down pat in one sitting and it's not like they have any reason to expect a random pickup to be capable of following instructions and learning mechanics quickly, but fucking hell, can't even get the chance.
Yeah duuuude, thats exactly where I am except back one turn. Learned 6 in static, got it down like 2 hours of practice. Static broke up, beat t6 first pug I get in 2nd try then it's like fuck, do I really want to learn t7 through pugs...naw.
Honestly, every fight in this game is pretty easy to learn in 2-4 attempts if you have an experienced group that you're going with and are a halfway competent player yourself. Having everyone else doing the right thing and reacting properly makes it REALLY obvious when you aren't. The only real tough thing is having 8 people learn a new fight from scratch.
The fact that it's becoming more and more commonplace and accepted in the community for SCHs to /follow someone and afk through dungeons is going to drive me to drink (more).
