how the fuck do people afk throughout an entire frontlines match and not get autokicked?

Auto run maybe?
My complaint is those teleport leachers in hunt parties. After you kill a hunt you go teleport somewhere to look for one and they come with you and follow you around until you go to another zone. Every time there's one or two comes with me. I wouldn't care so much if they'd cover the half of the zone that I'm not running towards.
Hunts are seriously killing the game dead for me.
Everything else is completely dead because they're the only content worth doing (more than even coil unless you're clearing T9) and they're completely fucking tedious and boring even if you are getting kills/seals.
No challenge, no fun, best rewards.
Maybe people are just fed up with the bullshit that comes with Coil. Last time I cleared T7 it took 10 hours of shit PF groups only to see double healer drop. I'd rather be doing something productive with my time. 10 hours over last night and this afternoon got me enough seals for a sands of time. I'll take that over a high chance of nothing for the same effort in Coil. Sure it's fucking tedious and boring, I agree with that, but so is banging my head against the keyboard in Coil.
The other content isn't worth doing because SE likes to release dated content in new patches. i100 drops for CT2 instantly makes the content trash and let's not get started on the weak ass dungeons. Likewise Ramuh's drops are dated. All this content is geared towards alt jobs and not everyone can be bothered to play multiple jobs.
I'd rather be doing something productive that didn't boil down to a worse FATE system.
Thankfully my mind is numb from all the retardedness I'm seeing out of the Immortal Flames on Frontlines to not care that much that people who never set foot in Coil2 are likely hitting i110 via Hunt earlier than folks still actively doing Coil2 that got the shit end of the chest RNG barrel.
I think it's pretty obvious SE had no idea what hunts were going to be like. Maybe they had a party of 8 developers out testing them before release. Maybe 3 parties to fight the S ranks. People who liked the old HMNMs will love it! Don't worry! If someone else claims it you can still help and get credit!
They could at the least put a weekly lock-out on obtaining oil/sands from it until i110 gear is fully obsolete by whatever comes in 2.4.
-first week of new patch- The following reenactment is based on true events.
Me: Yes! Got an oil in ST finally can get rid of that Garuda ring ^.^
Hunter friend: Got my 5th sand unweathered a weapon made 15 mil and some sick glamour.
Me: *fishing
The only thing that genuinely surprises me is the fact that they've let it continue for so long. Can't have people's SMN pets tanking Ramuh though. No sir.
Spent my whole Saturday trying to do turn 7. 3 hours of my own PF where I only got three people total, none staying longer than 2min, and I joined 3 other PF groups that never filled.
Yay, hunts.
Lol raiding.
Oh yeah. The hunts metagame now involves spreadsheets, website timer trackers, temporary LSs, and a good dose of networking. Which is certainly one way to play an MMO. If you like that kind of thing and have loads of time to spend on it, you can get a lot of seals. Kinda cool to see it all unfold, really. No comment on whether or not the rewards are balanced.
Personally, I decided to spend most of my patch time on pvp and fishing desynthesis and I'm very happy with both frontline and my new bikini
