most FFXI players are laughing their ass off that FFXIV went back into the age of kings. I still cant believe they did something similar again like kings in FFXI to FFXIV

It's worse than kings. At least i could watch a group of people fight a legitimate battle against Nidhogg, Aspid or KB.
I have no idea how some of the same people who devised kings all those years ago could repeat the same mistake.
cmon don't exaggerate. the whole thing could be better but it's not nearly as bad as the three kings.
It's not anywhere near XI kings... At least everyone can participate if they are quick enough and missing out doesn't mean you spend the next 40 minutes watching some dopes barely scrape by for ToD so you can maybe get a shot at claiming the next day so you can maybe get a shot at lotting on something that won't drop.
They jut blew it on hunts by making it THE easiest, non-lockout way of getting nearly top-tier gear.
They should make elite bills daily and random for each person, quadruple the bill rewards, and drop the non-bill A-rank kills' rewards by a lot so it's more of a daily thing and way less enticing to grind all day long.
Thornmarch Hard Mode must be the hardest fight in the game or something. Trying to do my Trial roulette and it has appeared twice in a row. Both times people leave before the fight starts.
During prime time its worst than kings. At least with Kings you knew when to be are your PC and if you bothered to show up you had some sort of bot running to help you claim. There were also strict windows so you could get RL stuff accomplished. (30 minutes to workout, clean, jerk off whatever) These hunts will suck the life out of your day hoping not to miss the next A/S and a lot of times you won't get there in time to get credit.
I also stopped doing Roulette or really anything but weekly coil due to hunts. Kings would have 3 hour windows with events scheduled based on which window a mob popped.
Both are pretty terrible but I found the 3 kings much nicer with a 50-60hr work week. Nothing cooler than coming home to ebody in your inventory after a full day at work.
Prime time sucks but fucking LOL at people comparing this to Kings back in the day. Yeah it sucks not getting there for an A rank or missing out on that S rank. But other then hardcore primetime I don't run into many issues. Got around 400seals today just doing it casually for 2 hours or so and had 2 blood spattered logs drop as well. Even found Garlok up and unclaimed with no one around which reminded me of back in the day finding a HNM/NM wandering about.
I'd take farming Hunt mobs over sitting in a fucking zone for 3hrs each day hoping my bot beats the other bots so I can see nothing drop for the 1000000th time in a row.

Trial Roulette into Thornmarch HM and wiped twice.
SMN: "STOP DOING TOO MUcH DMG on KING MT(me)"
Me: "Ok....how about you get your pet off the king?"
...guess who got kicked >.>
Hahaha wtf. Understandable concept but roulette doesn't seem like the place to do it, is it even worth freeing up the tank for DPS with the loss of DPS from Garuda?
You could probably put it (and Sath's experience) down to the HM trials now being part of glamour end-game. You're not carrying bads, you're carrying top tier glamourists.
Saw one oil in 7~ ST runs. i90 BLM not wearing weathered accessories wins it.
I ran ST about 15 times last week, and I'm usually one to settle for a piece of gear in the first couple runs, coz I hate 24-man cat herding. I'd really like to get BLM pants coz they're a decent stopgap until I get HA in T9, but I'd also take an unidentified tome for my DRG, or an oil. Well speaking of T9, I really needed to study up on it before raid, so I decide that this will be my last try of the week at ST. I finally see BLM boots drop, not my first choice, but I figure it's better than getting nothing on my last try, so I lot and get them. On THE next boss, pants drop (fml). On the boss after that, tome AND oil drop...
C'MON MAN!!!!
My reputation changed on Sarg i think. I'm not the 'big cheater or the guy everyone has to ask for radar anymore"
I'm now just an Selfish prick. Got lots of tells latly asking me why I don't camp anymore
I tell them it's because I got the shit I need (got like 4 oils and 7 sands + 2 minions)
Their answer is
"Oh i see, so we helped you get your gear, but you won't help the others GJ selfish'
URGH
Probably meant UAT
2 48-man Frontline matches in a row
talk about nope the fuck out of there
Whats wrong with 48 man frontlines? I don't disagree with you, I dislike them too but can't put my finger on why other than 'people fucking suck' but that kinda applies to all frontlines, 48 just makes me more aware of it...I think
Frontlines is dying already. Ugh. JPs get to play more frontlines because <<insert theory about how NA players suck more here>>
1. NA players are too chicken to play PVP
2. NA players would rather do hunts that they hate to get sands for their alt class that they'll never play
3. NA players are too short-sighted to realize that switching to a perceived strong GC just screws balance and queue times for themselves
