I've never seen people spread out in Garuda HM as I've seen them in DF lately. And I'm counting 1.0's Garuda. And they are like walls. Not a single word before, during or after a wipe.

Iv never seen so many i90+ tanks that dont know how to tank her... I go in with DD gear to speed shit up but then the tank that I let MT fucking tanks in the center or does not know how to move clockwise.

I used to try to DPS but MT in DR can never hold hate. Ever.

Easier to MT and just drop defiance and pray.

Is this a thing now? This happened twice in my trial roulettes recently where the tank just sits with Garuda in the middle during sisters and plumes, making the fight last longer than it should because the melee can't do their job without getting blown around.

Nothing rustles my jimmies more than people who talk about SCH pet micromanaging like it's some impossibly complicated thing and say "don't need to do it". No shit you don't need to go 100% at it as any job but that just makes you passable or mediocre instead of good or great. Bonus points if the person doesn't even have 50 arcanist.

Everybody has their thing that they get rustled about, and this is mine as well. Had a new recruit who was doing Turn 9 progression tell me, "I just use sic and let her do what she will." It goes without saying that I immediately contracted cancer.

I don't even main SCH, but any time someone new levelling it asks if they "have to" micro Eos or can just leave her on Sic, the reply is "If you're just using it for lower level old content, do whatever you want, but if you want to play it on current endgame content, you should probably learn how to actually play the job."

I mean, let's be honest, with 20% echo, I'm pretty sure a decent i90 SCH could heal Twin without a pet out at all.

It's not even that (which I agree I'm not going to give someone shit for not microing in dungeons or super-easy content). Just a serious blanket in general statement that "you don't need pet macros because you can just drag the skills to your bar. It's pointless." Being told to a guy with some extremely light endgame experience (but no healer experience), from a guy with WHM main and SCH 41 who has "only" beaten T8.

I'm more pissed off that he was giving bad advice to somebody who didn't know any better more than I am about him giving bad advice in general.

I'm no SCH, but doesn't it depend on which pet you use? Sure, it makes sense to micro Eos, but Selene is probably better off on her own, no?

(I'm referring to the extra ability use, obviously whether or not you micro her heals wouldn't change)

Selene is a weird one and it kinda depends. More often or not I just have her on sic because it doesn't matter under normal circumstances.

However, sic means you can't direct her heals. And sometimes if enough people have hp lose, she won't cast her buffs because she is too busy healing.
