After looking at wait times for players trying to complete the Labyrinth of the Ancients to advance the storyline, we have decided to allow those seeking to take on those encounters the ability to form a complete alliance prior to entry. Since Frontlines and Syrcus Tower are very popular right now, there is no need to implement this for current content.

Join a hunt party. I notice we keep not getting full credit although I am tanking the mobs as whm because I have full hate. Start to check out what other mages are doing and whm's are spamming Stone II. I tell them that Cure III and medica are a lot better.
They tell me that I am providing "bad intel". Next A rank I watch one of the whms cast protect 3x during the fight. -.-

Had a WHM that would only cast Holy, when I commented that he'd be better off curing he said he was on PS3 and it's all he could do to make sure he tagged the mob because he could never see them.

I think that's a complaint against SE more than it is the player tho.

But if it flashed on his screen even for a second while Holy was going off as long as at least one of them hit it, it should count afaik.

You don't even have to tag it (and it's unreliable in huge hunt hordes because you won't be on a visible enmity table even after "tagging" it). You just have to heal people who have. Or something.

No you can use aoe's to get claim even if you cant see it. As far as I know you have to claim a mob to get cred, but then you can just spam heals.
Join a hunt party to see a bard still in his AF gear with some toothpick of a bow, likewise to the random dragoon. Not getting full credit on A's we just had to kick them, but what I was wondering is don't Hunt Targets have Acc requirements? How were they even hitting the mob (maybe they weren't)

It's not like you have 0% accuracy when under cap. They would be missing a lot of hits but probably still land at least half.

Put an iLv requirement on your hunt PFs. Nothing outrageous, but I think i90 is reasonable.

I actually heard someone got yelled at in a hunt LS recently for using an i90 limit on their hunt PF. Supposedly they were "excluding people". Well no shit, I wouldn't want someone who can't scrape together an i90 in my hunt party. As if myth wasn't easy enough to come by now, reaching i90 through hunts alone is less seals than a single bloody log (catch-22 if you can't get a party, but still).


As far as accuracy goes, I think it's possible to miss if you have zero accuracy from gear, but the cap isn't very high. We had a guy get credit on all hunts on his 50FSH by hitting it with his rod (I assume DoH/L have minimum lv50 accuracy - 341 or whatever it is). Didn't get to test on an S though, he actually switched to BRD when one of those popped.

Sub400 on A/B is def easy to notice misses. During S I can't see shit anyway so LOL

The max dps I'll take with me is like 2. 2 dps, 1-2 healers and rest tanks will net you max cred every time even with early pulls and your group isnt all there

You need to have performed some action on the mob in order to get credit, just healing people won't do it.

A missed melee hit is all it takes (tho obviously most ppl would just Aero it).

You def need to tag it to get any credit. Plenty of times I've gotten no credit while my party got max despite me cure bombing but not being able to tag the mark.

Ilvl at least doesn't matter for healers. Easy to get max cred when I go with my alt's i49 WHM.
