Idk about all that. I tag things with heavy shot doing a pretty significant little chunk out of them and then they get zerged and I don't get credit. It's a valid complaint, but only because theres so many fucking people in every leveling area right now.

I was under the impression that in order to get credit, you had to do at least 30% damage (although idk how that works for a healer who is only curing). I didn't know claim = insta-credit.
Don't quote me on it, but as a melee I feel like it has been really helping me out. I provoke the unclaimed one, and do ~30% to the claimed one and I end up with 2 credit. Been doing a lot of hunting logs.

I am running around on my 50 though.

Point is right now you can't get gold on them if they over in a min or less.

I will have to deliberately test it on a mob.

Out of courtesy, if there are people around me I will whack a mob once and let other people zerg it for credit. Common courtesy I wish everyone practiced.

Right, so I'm reluctant to make a formal complaint to SE about it, bc I don't think it'll be a big deal/flaw in a few months.

True, but technically that means the reward is greater because the fight went longer, but I see your point.

I'd be fine with them scaling the rewards up, but mainly I'd like to see the fates scale just for the battle itself. Those ones where it's just one boss would be amazing if 50 people around it. Talking AV's little brother type shit.

So, random question: If I get the CE (if I still can), is there a "CE code" that I can use on my 1.0 account while using the game key to activate a 2nd copy of the game (for me ol' wifey)? K,thx.

I'm pretty sure your options are:

Buy the CE digital upgrade and a second copy of whatever
Buy the PS3 CE and a second copy of whatever

The direct answer is that "no, the item rewards are not a separate key, they're included in your CD key for the game".

Are you dense? I'm saying don't bitch about something that can't possibly be fixed except by playing a more sought after class. Your complaint would be valid if there was a viable way to fix the problem, but there isn't so get over it. Even if there were the exact same number of Tank/Healer classes that there are DPS classes, this would still be a problem because generally people don't like the responsibility of tanking or healing when they can just kill stuff.

You posted a stupid complaint, I replied with the only possible solution. That's not white-knighting.

You are seriously approaching Mazmaz levels of stupid.

Took me so long to respond because I queued up for Toto-Rak and got a group in literally one second.

Pretty sure it's already in place. Was in the aforementioned Coeurl area in that little makeshift town. Both the town FATE and the giant crab FATE were up and everyone but me was on the crab. There were only 2-3 enemies spawning at a time. This happened again around Buscarron's/Quarrymill. Was doing the quest where you blow up the Qiqirin supplies and the FATE there popped on me and one other person. Again only 2-3 mobs spawned at a time, but when more people showed up they spawned more frequently to have more up at one time.

I guess it needs a little adjustment then, because it's certainly not noticeable enough. Hate to keep making the comparison but in GW you can significantly tell the difference when more people start showing up, suddenly the boss guy has way more HP and your damage goes way the fuck down. Just makes for a more epic fight. Would be cool if everyone could get a few hits in on the trash mobs. Some of those timers are like 20 minutes and it's over in less than 1.

Make friends with a healer/tank so you can get in faster????? lol shit, I knew dps queues were going to be terrible just coming from WoW where...dps queues are fucking terrible. That's just the nature of being dps. If you want instant queues, you gotta be healer/tank or you get to sit around for awhile. Only way beyond that is to get friends. There no other fix.

Yup. I'm a tank, but my archer friend needed to get through the first 3 instances and had been waiting for ages so he partied with me, and we banged them all out without much of a wait. Fair or not, idk. But I don't know if its that different then befriending a BRD early on in XI.

Anyone else that played FF11 hate the fucking controls? I get a headache with them and wish they could just be configured like FF11. Also I keep not facing my target perfectly. Frack.

Other than that, having slow fun. Enjoying being a noob again .

Did the same with an LS member. He got up to 15 LNC and started doing PGL. I asked him if he wanted to run through the dungeons with me as CNJ to get them done. Made it much easier for him and I enjoyed myself and got some gear to use for CNJ and ACN.

I personally don't think the XI controls would be as accurate for this game. Everything happens a lot faster and screwing around with the numpad and tab targeting. Though I guess I still ahve to use tab targeting in large crowds.

Did this for my wife and a few LS mates. What I like too is as long as they are new to the dungeon and doing it for story, I get bonus exp for completion as well as just being able to help out and make friends.

Set your controls up like FFXI then? I've edited a lot of the shortcuts to what's most comfortable for me, and instead of turning the camera with A and D, I made those keys my strafe keys. Just simple stuff ;p

i've got my keybinds setup to mirror XI in a lot of ways... i'm just so used to movement via the numpad that i can't change to wasd.
