I haven't personally done it, but there's a post on the OF detailing how someone did. I'm sure it involves heavy melding and food. Supras cost way too much for such a marginal improvement for me to care at the moment though. You can make your Artisan Tool shit via macro if you use HQ ingredients.
I'm pretty sure they're going to be completely separate areas from Mist/Goblet/Lavender Beds. If you go to Old Gridania and then to the northernmost part of the map, there's an NPC there that tells you "This is the housing area you fool".
In 1.0, there were two instance zones attached to each city:
Gridania: Lotus Gardens, Lily Hills
Ul'dah: The Dunes, The Fronds
Limsa Lominsa: Southern Islands, Northern Islands
IIRC, the first of each pair were the market ward areas for each city. I know the ones in Gridania/Ul'dah are correct, and I'm *fairly* sure about the LL zone (it was in the same place as the zone to Maelstrom Command), which I know was in the southern end of Upper Decks.
I haven't gone to look if there's still a place in 2.0 to get to The Fronds. The presumed "new" entrance to Lily Hills in Gridania would be up in the place I mentioned in the beginning of this post, at the northernmost point in Gridania.
Now, in Limsa, the place where the zone to Southern Islands was has been turned into Tempest Gate. The Northern Islands entrypoint is also gone, with the move of Coral Tower. Going from memory, it's possible that the matching zone in Limsa could be placed either beyond the ferry point south of Fisherman's Bottom, or possibly the tower in Lower Decks that's between the Anchor Yard and the Armorer Guild (though this may be where the Rogue guild will go?).
So basically, there's places for it in the game already, loosely referenced. I would expect it's going to be a Mog House-type of situation, which would mean "no land rush".
If they're struggling to handle 6 wards of 30 houses each for the 3 cities (540 total houses) they sure as shit won't be able to manage the countless thousands of houses there would be with personal housing unless they put massive restrictions on it. Which, of course, will just piss everyone off when only a few % of the player base is able to buy a personal house.
What's wrong with Monks and DF? I main MNK and I cringe whenever I get one in a party when doing Expert Roulette, they don't bother with positioning at all and some can't even keep GL up, most of them end up doing sub 150 DPS which almost what I do just auto attacking, and they have ilvl100~ gear...
It's been months since I've seen a good MNK in a dungeon
Really? I figured MNK would be pretty impossible to mess up, even if you did stuff from the wrong side all the time. The job practically plays itself.
Mog houses seem to work fine in XI.
I really honestly think it's just a cover for "not oversupplying land". If there's plenty of land, people will just wait until the prices hit bottom. It's also why personal housing is coming so long after FC housing.
Blame yourself or Atomos.
Tried on HQ Titan SHield from Auction House
Can't unsheathe weapon. Can't see glow![]()
Will try tonight. I had to post it as I didn't previously and it was a pet peeve.
They still haven't managed to fix the duty list to work the way it did in Beta/Alpha.
Diamond Ring synth for a friend.
HQ mats, going well, 84%. NQ.
Second attempt, have to use NQ diamond. First 4 hasty touches ALL fail. This is gonna fucking fail for sure.
20%. HQ.
In complaint thread because what the fuck RNG.
RNG loves to entertain and keep you on your toes.
I should really set Reclaim for these synths, I'm just too lazy to take off WN/WN2/Manip/something from macro synths.
Edit: Just looked and this was one of the crafts I actually had Reclaim set on. I'm just a colossal dumbass it seems.
