Dont hunt that much but have got about 20 logs. Sanded every piece of gear and 2 weapons. Mostly Hunt for myth and Alexandrites, got 2 logs solo yesterday even. Now Im sitting on 7 logs. Pretty crazy when I basically started hunting to speed up the Novus quest and sand a couple pieces.

Decide to do my daily roulette so I queue up. Get into Stone Vigil HM, which isn't overly terrible, except for the tank was awful and couldn't tank for shit. No big deal though, I just want my daily done. We get to the first boss, and shit tank decides he needs to afk for a bit. Ok whatever, I'll just wait it out. Waiting... waiting... "You have been dismissed from both the party and the duty."

Edit: Immediately followed by a 1/3 hullbreaker that wiped to the trash before the 2nd boss, wiped twice to the trash before the last boss, and then had the healer have all of his gear break.

Clearly Japanese are the superior gaming race, which is why you play with them, right? lol

Japanese are alright, they are not as hardcore as hardcore NA FCs but the reason i play with them is because:

1. NA's attitude is terribad, and general community sucked balls. Theres only a minority of good people out there (eg. people in this forum vs people in OF, you know what i mean....)
2. Japanese are polite, and pugs are great
3. no lag lol plain and simple

downside is the other asia countries i mentioned fall into the JP datacenters :X

at least chocobo server is 95% JP now........ /icanrestinpeace

I'm pretty sure they're going to be completely separate areas from Mist/Goblet/Lavender Beds. If you go to Old Gridania and then to the northernmost part of the map, there's an NPC there that tells you "This is the housing area you fool".

In 1.0, there were two instance zones attached to each city:
Gridania: Lotus Gardens, Lily Hills
Ul'dah: The Dunes, The Fronds
Limsa Lominsa: Southern Islands, Northern Islands

IIRC, the first of each pair were the market ward areas for each city. I know the ones in Gridania/Ul'dah are correct, and I'm *fairly* sure about the LL zone (it was in the same place as the zone to Maelstrom Command), which I know was in the southern end of Upper Decks.

I haven't gone to look if there's still a place in 2.0 to get to The Fronds. The presumed "new" entrance to Lily Hills in Gridania would be up in the place I mentioned in the beginning of this post, at the northernmost point in Gridania.

Now, in Limsa, the place where the zone to Southern Islands was has been turned into Tempest Gate. The Northern Islands entrypoint is also gone, with the move of Coral Tower. Going from memory, it's possible that the matching zone in Limsa could be placed either beyond the ferry point south of Fisherman's Bottom, or possibly the tower in Lower Decks that's between the Anchor Yard and the Armorer Guild (though this may be where the Rogue guild will go?).

So basically, there's places for it in the game already, loosely referenced. I would expect it's going to be a Mog House-type of situation, which would mean "no land rush".

Just referencing this, I was looking for something else in Ul'dah and decided to go to the site of the old Fronds in 1.0. It's just outside the Alchemist Guild. There's a Sultansworn Elite NPC that says "None but authorized personnel may enter."

In Gridania, at 11,4, there's a similar setup. Two guards, one labeled Severaint. He says, "The district beyond is home to distinguished Gridanians. Commoners may not enter. That includes you, adventurer. Go back whence you came, or I will be forced to remind you of your place.

As far as Limsa goes...Limsa Lower Decks 6,16 is just a dead-end pier. 9,15 looks like a gate with some idle NPCs, but nobody you can talk to and no guards. No "side passages" near the Bismarck or the Marauder's Guild or the Aftcastle. I didn't look around the Armorer's Guild but I'm guessing that's a dead-end also.

You should visit Tonberry, they are pretty much like NA's attitude, a friend transferred there in hope finding better static, moved back a week later because he couldnt handle how rude and elitist peoples are.

One thing I have learned over the years is never play an mmo without real friends you know. Even if you don't do end game shit for an update(like mine do to jobs/army crap) you still can have fun doing stupid stuff lol.

I think I would quit overnight if my fc broke or people left, MMOs are just not fun otherwise.

My retainer completed her first week of being lvl 50, ilvl 91, and bringing me only Coeurl Meat and Hippogryph Skin from Field Exploration XIV ventures.

I really hope she is enjoying her Allagan Blade.

Hah, tell me about it. I don't even have fisher leveled, but I have culinarian desynthesis at 20+ because all my retainers bring are fishes from quick exploration ventures. That and my private room started empty, but is slowly being decorated from all the furniture I get also.

I did got a couple Ultima rings and some Mog weapons though.
