You sure they didn't just reset the analog stick sensitivity in the controller options? Happened once to me before.
What sensitivity settings? Lol there's only character turning sensitivity, it's bad but not game breaking bad, practice titan hm and if you can't dodge cuz of this, then practice til they fix.
It sounds shitty, but it's true for me. And the fact that I am considering unsubbing over this makes me feel shitty, too. But I really wanted decent personal housing. This is atrocious. I was hoping for something similar to mog houses in FFXI. How it's stored differently on the server or whatever so everyone could have one.
Not only would I need to farm a FUCK ton of gil to get a medium (probably large because Sargatanas), but that means I'd be sinking a LOT more time into this game in areas I don't really care to do. I don't care to amass gil. I have enough to get me by, but realistically I shoulnd't have EVER needed to have 80 fucking mil.
Oh, also banned on the OF for saying Cocksuckery. Yay!
Seems like they all finally realized that any real change from the same ol' shit that hasn't really been doing it for us is going to be at least 6+ months off from 2.4. So basically just dissatisfaction and unhappiness boiled over and they said fuck it to go have fun I guess. They were cool people, kind of salty that they may not even come back should we actually be able to do current endgame together outside of fucking statics. It's just a really fucking frustrating feeling to be unable to go and help someone clear 6-9 for the week if you're cleared. The gear doesn't last long enough to be so full of RNG and other fuckery too; I feel bad for anyone who has maybe missed one week or two and still isn't Second Coil BiS on their main.
And I guess i'll still be here, albeit for lack of any more appealing option than any real loyalty to what's been a fairly rollercoaster-like time spent with ARR. Second Coil has been an utter disaster for me, and it's seemingly largely to blame on statics being the only assured way to really get anything done. Work, school, whatever; that shit sort of just destroyed multiple attempts to finally get Turn 9 down with several statics.
It's really disheartening to see so many people just throw this down in disgust and walk off. But then again, it also seems like the two games they've all left for don't punish or obstruct you from going back to do shit you've done for the week to help/play with friends..
The one under controller settings in the system config....
I thought it was just the servers being slow as shit due to patch day + reset day, if this was actually an intended effect, what the fuck?
"Hey, were gonna slow down your movement cause reasons, have fun."
What the fucking shit indeed. I like how they make movement more and less convenient with this patch.

Thank fucking god, at least they acknowledge something's wrong.
You know what, while were on the subject of stupid shit related to controller movement:
They really need to change it so that when moving backward while locked onto a target you move at normal speed, not fking walking speed.
Having to break lockon every. fucking. time. you need to move backwards with any urgency is so goddamn annoying, and when playing BRD with a controller it's actually harmful to your damage because you have to face away from the target which means lost AAs (true for melee as well but if you need to backup to dodge a short-range AoE or something you're gonna be backing out of melee range anyway).
If I wasn't on a low pop server, and wasn't already owner of an FC that also happens to owns a house that I can basically do as I please with, I would quit. I actually was thinking of quitting immediately after reading the patch notes, though I managed to simmer down after several hours alone on a plane, away from all the uproar.
While personal housing isn't the only thing I'm interested in, it's one I've looked forward to the most since 2.1 and this is nothing but a huge let down.
Lol, they sound like typical coders. "We've been refactoring it" loosely translates to "we've been refuctoring it". Or written another way "the original code was slow and shit so we tried to improve it -several times- and managed to introduce some obscure bugs that take ages to bubble up to the surface, and are just about impossible to trace."
Also, this:

most peeps i seen in OF after reading basically are:
1. I quit, cos i cant get a house
2. i quit cos house is too ex
3. i quit cos there is not enough houses
seriously if anyone is gotta quit over a house, there are more problems than that since they prioritise housing over everything else
we can make do w/o these peeps seriously, they gotta quit 1 month after getting a house no one will ever visit anyway
(edit: potentially...) Losing another static member for the exact same reasons as the last one. Getting "suddenly" fed up with the stale flavor of the game, the over-appealing to casuals, nothing for hardcores to do for 6 days of the week. It's annoying that he chooses to quit over 2.38 (as opposed to old PLD who quit over 2.2), instead of sticking it out another month to 2.4. But also starting to agree with him.
Yeah I mean, personal housing just reeks of "forever alone" to be perfectly honest. Do not want.we can make do w/o these peeps seriously, they gotta quit 1 month after getting a house no one will ever visit anyway
In regards to the above (state of the game), I'm finding this every patch cycle, and it's getting harder and harder to rationalise the sub week after week. I'm seriously wondering why I'm paying for the privilege of having old, tired content re-invigorated for Nexus. I'd basically stopped doing ST/Roulette and etc. because it got terribly boring, and I don't need the Soldiery. Now they want to drag us back into that content, awesome. My WAR is only 103 and I'm more content to just run coil than dick around with pointless hunts and over-gear myself . Then again, our coil group doesn't seem to be capable of setting fixed times, which is a massive PITA at the moment too.
So apparently house prices are high because if they were lower people might RMT and buy multiple houses.
I thought they'd learn from 1.0 that designing the game around anti RMT isn't a good idea. Not that I agree, high prices also encourages RMT.The average amount of gil in possession is much greater than you all imagine, and we are concerned that if we were to lower the cost of land for personal housing any further it would exacerbate problems like RMT and the purchase of land by secondary characters.
Should've made personal housing account-based.and the purchase of land by secondary characters.
