It's not stupid at all. Probably the most concise way of telling whoever's doing it to knock it off. Also what others said, no need to be telepathic to see what I'm targetting. I'm going to be generating enough aoe hate at the start of pulls anyway it really doesn't matter what you fight.

Actually everyone takes.....quite a lot of damage in that fight.

It gets worse as the fight goes on, after the 2nd starfall he's dishing out quite a fuckton of raidwide damage at a pretty regular basis.

Also I usually just let other tanks take the boss even if their gear sucks, because no one ever fucking takes the adds so I might as well do it while the other 2 tanks dick wave over who gets to stand still and do the easy job.

My bad I guess, all I know is I shouldn't be dying when I'm using my cooldowns properly. Sitting at <2k hp for 10 seconds at a time is unacceptable.

Also I would love to let the other tanks tank the boss if they could actually keep hate off of me when I'm not tanking. I'm not going to slow down my dps because of their shitty gear and if I'm going to be tanking then I better be in defiance cause the healers I get are so fucking god awful that I won't live without it.

You just learn to accept that you'll be tanking ST as a 6.2k HP Sword Oath PLD after a while. Just apologize to the healers and keep on.

to me, if your in B and is the MT for the syrcus tower, just fucking suck it up, drop your ego and do shield oath/defiance and go hybrid set at minimum and tank it properly

dont even give god a chance to fuck you up and waste other 23 peeps time

i know i know, "i have done it before so why not for more deeps" but you know what i mean

also you wont know when you get shitty healers, so just play safe

It's mostly shit like that. If a mob is at 10% HP and moves to a DPS, some will complain if you don't get hate back (rather than pop a CD) or get pissy. Everyone is annoying, just depends on where you stand lol.

Bonus points if the guy being attacked by a mob he pulled hate from at 5% proceeds to switch targets. I love those people.

Only times I ever mark targets are situations where it might be crucial to attack the right one, such as the transforming guys in SV Hard, assuming someone seems like they might be in there for the first time. Alternatively, dangerously large pulls in Lowlevel Roulette for which it would be better to quickly reduce the damage output of the enemy group.

It's probably not worth arguing. From all the posts I'v seen on here, reddit or the OF, it seems like the western mentality is that you should know how do something right, if not you're bad and you should be picked on.

Add "DPS and tanks who bitch at me for not stoneskinning them pre-pull" i'll only use stoneskin situationally!

this is so true lol, i literally let once only my AI Fairy handle the cureing in tam-tara while I was nukeing constantly lol

It works if the tank/dps isn't dumb pulling packs.

Had people complain about me being in cleric stance DPSing and not healing too (fairy was fine soloing of course)
Apparently it made the fairy heal less

No one was dying though, but then it became:

quite a bit of the time i do things as a healer there's always one dumb blm or smn who thinks i'm not doing enough healer cause i'm in CS, so they have to spam physick (or cure lol) on the tank.

like holy shit, there needs to be a sign that says "fairy at work, do not cure"

I really don't care about optimizing my rotation right now -- doing T6~T8 and just that every week gets really boring after a bit, esp. when no drops.

Join a Garuda farm for Nexus. 2 runs later a BLM leaves. Then someone else leaves and before you know it the group is down to 3, all because one DPS left. Annoying as fuck.
