It's taken 65 minutes to do 8 Garudas since I started. Glad I'm done in another 11 runs, I couldn't imagine having to make significant progress with the state of recent groups.

I finally get around to where I can readily afford to make (I guess optimally?) melded iLv.90 Ruby accessories, except now i'm wondering if it's even worth the trouble (and the expense) with 2.4 about a month or so away..
I plan on wearing my rubies into 2.4. Hell, my WAR alt is still wearing i70 Gryphonskin accs because I see no reason to use i90 myth, I don't have enough i110 accs to beat it yet, and I'm lazy.
They would have to tune fights to be exceptionally hard for me to really want the ~+400 HP I'd get going from Ruby to i110 VIT.
That's not why.
It's more that i'm sort of expecting them to not fuck up like they did with 2.2 and only manage to include them with 2.3 (and Desynterriblesis). And by that, I mean the crafted 110s will be in with 2.4. Which sort of renders the 90s a waste of time and money.
I'd say we have some kind of consistency in gear progression, but yeah, we all know that's a fucking lie. I'd just hate to sink all that money (and waste those IVs) into accessories that'll be potentially obsolescent in a couple weeks, because they actually introduced the 110s on-time. Knowing SE, we'd have a rather subpar shot at a tier-V materia too (when converting the 90s) for added insult, if they're introduced with 2.4.
I mean we'll have to wait for 2.4 to see if it's a pattern broken by 2.2 or if 2.2 is the pattern (will new accs get added in 2.4 or 2.5). My money is on 2.5 and I mean that pretty literally as I didn't make my Rubies until like a month or two ago lol.
Even if 2.4 does roll out i110 accs, it's just going to be more expensive to make something slightly better than what we can get now. Like I said, I was doing 6-9 with gryphonskin just fine. I don't think Ruby is going to be instantly obsolete or the worst thing ever. Even if it's crafted it'll take time/resources.
Well, it's almost impossible to bungle everything, right? I guess i'd settle for finally being able to lock Desynthesis skill levels, therefore not having to run out to buy cheap NPC fodder gear to prevent a 0.01-.03 gain from fucking my other two 86-90+ Desynthesis levels.
I suppose the time/resources part isn't really that bad (unless we're going to be talking dungeon obtainable-only materials to make things a shitfest) if it's actually timely this time. An improvement is an improvent afterall. But yes, it's sadly much more realistic to expect it to be in the middle of the 2.4-2.6 span.
The three times I used Battleping since I moved to my new apartment it had been having a bad night and causing me to d/c or lag really badly. I assumed I did not need it because it only seemed to make it worse. I just found out today I had been playing at 150+ ping without it and that explains a lot....

I'm angrily considering trying that considering that over the last 2 months we've started to get the fucking lag of death. Thanks Verizon. 75/75 is great. Bad routing with Cogent or whoever you're punishing now is fucking awful.
That's why I used to use BP every time I logged in. Ever since December 2013 I needed it every single time I logged in on FiOS. I know paying an extra 5 a month sucks, but not having the frustration was worth every penny to me especially because I raid regularly where the lag was its worst.
RMT sending flist requests to prevent you from blisting them.
Houses aren't listed under favored destinations in the tele menu.
XI has a better vanity system than XIV.
That shit is getting pretty fucking annoying, especially if you happen to get hit by multiple RMT in a short period of time in the middle of doing things. Since it doesn't seem like there's much that's going to be done about it, I would really appreciate an automatic blacklist purge feature that I can set for every reset day (minus names of non-RMT who I want to keep blacklisted having an option to lock and prevent their erasure).
Piggybacking off that, I'm still kind of amused that after all the rage over personal housing, we still can't set either the FC housing, nor our own cottages/houses/manors (lol), as our home point (or free/favored aetheryte destination).
I disagree slightly, if only because the vanity in this case isn't limited to our own clients. That said, I hate being limited by class restrictions on glamouring. The dated gear from 1.0 caused so much buttrage back when 2.2 dropped on Midgardsormr. Pre-Cleric's nerf, the idea of a WHM or SCH in glamoured dated heavy armor would have been fucking amazing for Frontlines, for however short the span of time for the ability of glamours to display normally would have been possible.
I was under the impression /lockstyle in XI made you appear that way for everyone until you zoned, where you had to hit your vanity macro/spellcast-automagic.
Random complaint: Second boss of SVHM. If you accidentally click on a target while on the cannon, it disengages you from the cannon. If you're on a pet class, you get the bonus annoyance of your pet desummoning themselves for whatever god damn reason when that occurs.
I just assumed we were talking .DAT swapping honestly.
Not quite sure what you're trying to get at here, since these (Ruby accessories) are essentially something of a hybrid accessory for a main tank to meet those minimum HP thresholds while still upping damage. Those Fending and Slaying accessories don't really factor in here at all (or maybe they do if you can tank normal Coil 3 in pure DPS accessories right off the bat or something, whatever); but the 110 crafted ones are the issue at hand.
Anyone that says Coil's loot system (especially weapons) is just fine can eat a dick.
