Kinda wish Espers like Fenrir and Siren where S ranks instead, or like mega S ranks.

I don't mind that Fenrir got relegated to a dungeon boss like Diabolos and Siren. It is irritating that the minor summons are basically faceroll content that isn't worth repeating.
They will probably make a return some day.
Agreed, though what bothers me the most is that I always hear the word "theme park" in the back of my head whenever the announcements for the next content patch pop up. Screenshot of Fenrir? Diabolos? Meth-Goobbue? Second coming of Christ, disregarding the fact that we're talking about faceroll-content that might be fun the first time and afterwards will not be touched ever again, unless it happens to be the shortest of the three dungeons the patch offers.
Granted, we have yet to see what happens to tomes, especially as long as Hunts are around, but I'm having an incredibly hard time feeling excited about these "content"-patches.
Theme park MMO? Is that why we spend the majority of the time queuing for shit?
You mean like standing in line for 30 minutes to get on a 5 minute roller coaster?
Snowcloak is likely tied to the main scenario though (Lady Iceheart is seen in front of the entrance to Snowcloak at the end of 2.3) so Fenrir may get more exposure than Diabolos and Siren in cutscenes during the new missions. Also if the Kraken from Hullbreaker can come back I don't see why Diabolos, Siren or Fenrir cannot.
Edit: Actually remove that likely, French and German notes clearly state that you need to clear a new mission to get access. Yay for English notes being useless as always.
I wouldn't use the fact Snowcloak needs to be unlocked through the main story to mean anything special for Fenrir. Brayflox and Haukke Manor were main story dungeons too but we got zilch for info on the dragon and a couple lines of text on Haukke's boss. Siren got a bit more exposition but ultimately it didn't add up to much. Would be nice if these icomic enemies had some actual backstory leading up to the fight, maybe not on Ultima Weapon's level but close, and the actual fight be similar to a trial duty.
Edit: I'm hella expecting too much either way since even in single player FFs, the 'iconic' enemies are sometimes simple dungeon bosses and that's it.
sigh 4th Sword in 9 kills
and we been getting lots tank drops past 2months ;/
In a few weeks of doing hunts (100+ As and dozens of Ss), I have only gotten around 3-4 logs total.
My wife, the super casual "Oooh shiny pets, tee hee!" person came out to do some hunts that were called out in FC chat. 3 S ranks, 3 logs. She still doesn't know where to get oils/sands with them or how to use them to upgrade yet, despite me explaining multiple times.
i have done over 1000 As and 130 Ss before 2.38 and have 59 logs total
looks like 5%ish, and your 4/100+ is around 5%ish too
your wife will prolly go 2/97 from here on!!!!!
I had 2 drop out of 350 As + however many Ss I've done. It doesn't matter what the overall % is, RNG is RNG. At least you get consistent progress with seals, in contrast to the atma grind.
There's still no "JUST TURN OFF ALL THE FUCKING GODDAMN ERROR MESSAGES, ALL OF THEM" option.
Slideshow lag in coil on tuesday is getting to be reaaaaaaaly fucking annoying.
Sweet new sets
I can't wait for everyone to be wearing the exact same items in less than 60 days.
I hate variety, it sucks
Unable to use that action at this time.
Still shows up, and it's very annoying when I fish by sound with the client in the background and want to use a single macro.
There are others that still show up as well (invalid target is the only other I can think of off-hand).
The Rogue artifact gear looks really cool but...no one is ever going to wear it. Who would be rogue when you can be ninja....
