Who the hell uses macros and why?(To the extent of exhausting all 100 slots) Press the GD button. If you don't have a Naga or Logitech g10? you are doing it wrong. The combat in this game is passed so that you could actually click your buttons.

Featherfoot is crap, I'd rather take a huge chance at -25% damage (going off BRD's parry #s) than a small chance at -100% (or no chance, in the case of attacks that can't be avoided).

Cross-class Mantra is such garbage too, rarely will an extra 50hp on a 1000hp heal you're already getting matter. Second wind may be similarly lackluster at a measly ~800hp but that on-demand instant 800hp has saved me more than a few times (used in between popping 2 mines, in between a double meteor stream if Keen Flurry failed me and/or the healers are behind, especially for phase 4 streams where people are in full derp mode and likely to clip you).

Semi-related:

On top of giving the one melee that doesn't have directional attacks naturally enhanced movement speed they also gave it Perfect Dodge so they don't even have to back out of melee range for radial AoEs. Another fine "fuck you" to MNK and DRG.

So, I'm in a small FC, and we're rarely able to even be able to field a full 8 for coil. A guy in the FC's been desperate to clear T5 for awhile now, and a number of us regulars have been down to help. Coil isn't my thing - especially in PF and DF - but I'll always help FC mates if I can.

Tonight, we got together to make a go at clearing T5. While we were organizing everything, this guy saw a T5 free carry in PF. He straight up abandoned all of us who gathered for him (in the past as well as tonight), joined the carry PF, and got his clear. I've been with this group since FFXI, but I'm angry beyond words at being casually being tossed aside like this.

It's not so much about T5 ... this is one of those things that's on the unwritten list of shit you don't do to your friends.

I feel you, I'm kind of the same way. Even if you blast on ahead and say "Oh yeah, I'll help you do it too so you can catch up", it makes it feel like you're not really as much of a team as you thought you were.

Got stood up by a group that was very close to beating T9. Replacement me with an FC member of the same job who had cleared previously. Understandable, but still frustrating.

I didn't manage to buy all job relic armor (didn't know about 24 hour maint) before it was removed from 2.4. I had more than enough allied seals to get them all too

I don't get why they have to remove them from the allied seal NPCs too. It's a silly idea to move it to dungeons no one is going to bother doing (or if they are moving it to the new dungeons, why does old gear come from new content?).

I don't mind this with other types of gears (multiple jobs can use) + it's the same with a lot of other games and older gear (if you want it for just the looks for example) but with the relics, it's a bit disappointing since it's job specific. Going 1/40 on some relic armor you want from a dungeon would be saddening (happened with ST on an armor I wanted before). This is assuming they'll move them to dungeons like Darklight gear of course.

There are some items introduced that look like tokens. Name start with Antique. Not job specific. So it might be that you would play rng for the body part you want but not the job.

Other might hope that it's for final coil gear but I'm doubtful.

Note there are only left side stuff and no belt.

Speculation on the JP side is that those are for myth gear.

They've said they're not using the token system for coil, but are planning a system similar to other MMOs (DPS core, tank core, etc) for 3.0 raids.

bleh that's annoying from a lore PoV since the myth gear is supposed to be gear Rowena commissioned after the flood of adventurers using artifact gear
