I wish they would let go of trying to keep older dungeons "challenging" and just let us duo, or even solo old content.

Would be nice, but you know the community would flip their shit at the suggestion and tell you to go play an offline game if you want to solo.

Also, hearing CT is pretty much dead. Going to be fun trying to access ST with that fact since SE still hasn't implied a way to create a 24 man party to my knowledge. They've had how long to figure that out?

Thats one of the more popular things to do in WoW, I guess the older content is just not old enough for them. Are other new jobs relic pre-cursor materials still going to come out of WP? If so, I want to go in there solo or with a friend so I can just get it and not pay and super inflated price for it on the MB.

So much this. I want to farm gear for desynth and be able to go in there and farm my own items for relics. I could grab a friend and do this no problem but apparently that's too much like having fun for SE.

Eh? They implemented the ability to create alliances a few patches ago, right click someone's name and "Invite to Alliance" is right below invite to party.

Speaking of ST, I did one out of boredom last night and, as per usual, the tanks were all being lazy fucks so a SMN in my pt decided he wasn't interested in waiting and proceeded to successfully Titan tank every boss in the run.

It was awesome, sad, and hilarious all at the same time.

The tank mentality in ST is that usually someone else rushes in after the ready check to tank , so if you happen to get a group of 3 tanks who all are waiting for the other tank's to pull that is when you get problems.

Also, have to agree with the complaints of crafting turning into a complete RNG game. Plus, I decided to start leveling my BSM desynth and the complete lack of inexpensive items to desynth from 75-100 is annoying. Sure I could grind garuda and moogle hard, but using DF is way too slow for it to be worthwhile. I'd rather just blowup 3-500k per level on summoning bells until I reach a reasonable percentage on tool desynths.

At least the previous stuff (Wolfram, etc.) was gated behind (unless you used FC buffs, food and had perfect melds I guess) a long, but overall fair, process. This stuff is gated behind at least four layers of RNG , and obscene amounts of money (since you're probably not going to be HQing the three book items in less than 8-9 attempts without unprecedented luck).

It's incredibly frustrating to hover around 30% Quality through 26 attempts on one book (excluding the two 80%+ I got due to Excellent procs, both of which NQed..) because of the arbitrarily high caps they put in place to stretch this out/attempt to gate the Final Coil rush. And all I have to show for it is one HQ.

Of course, if you're getting nothing but nq and you're spamming reclaim then /comfort

I actually got my first 100% wit dat excellent proc and it felt really good. I was able to do the ARM book in 30 minutes. Sure the gil sink is pretty huge alongside that RNG but hey, its all part of the fun. For BSM personally, it went something like:
1) Buy ehcatl seals with oaknots. All out of oaknots now so rip wallet.
2) HQ the offhand weapon. (besides that dude's friend who NQ'd a file at 90+% you should never NQ this)
3) Craft a ton of i46 crafting gear. Leve it up until I'm out of mats and/or good leve rewards. Do the rest in Urth's Gift.
4) Meld 15/4/3 on off hand. For those who dont know, thats 100%->40%(35 if you go pro)->19%->11%->7%.
5) Buy a ton of fieldcraft III because I'm too lazy to PL ltw/wvr.
6) Use 1 button macro for Darksteel Nuggets. 88% Average HQ rate. Use 2 button macro for Hooks, 90% average if i mix NQ and HQ, 100% if i use all HQ mats.
7) Pop food, set xclass skills. And go to town. All NQ hooks go toward the supra fund. All HQ goes toward the book.

I only don't have fun when I fail the Reclaim

It's sort of a given that everyone should be using Reclaim if you fail Piece-by-Piece or Rapid Synthesis (or get Hasty Touch's amazing failure streaks).

Besides, having a Supra and a fully melded secondary doesn't seem to really do much to counter RNG. I frankly regret grabbing all these Supras now, with these NQs that you're sure to get.

Of course, but theres some people who see a 9 Stack IQ and are too afraid to Reclaim.

Some housing was imba because you could strategically place outdoor furnishing to bypass the walls/hills to the market boards. :kappalq:

i95 Allagan weapons can be desynthed but not sold for gil or traded for seals.

I have gotten 0 fiber, 2 nuggets and 2 hides. I'd have gone crazy if it weren't for the healer/caster gear that drops once in a while.

I've only leveled Rogue to 7 but I'm already steaming mad that their first two attacks do damage on button press, not animation completion. Meanwhile, Rage of Halone still takes fifty seconds to register and is easily interrupted by moving targets (looking at you, Frontlines).

I'm doing the same thing. Monk queue is pretty quick and theres 2 items you can need on that desynth with ARM. Bard is the same way except the ranged dps queue is a little longer.

The only problem is when ninjas are in the group :\
