karb might sound like a broken record but log completely out log back in wait a little bit connect spam it then another 3 / 4 minutes wash rinse repeat.

It sucks, but i honestly think it works has for me three times today and it did take dam near an hour or more after 2 pm but one time i click cancel by accident and the other time this morning was in queue line 387 7 am took like 4 minutes but was in.

Actually to see if that's really true, I've been staying inside the client and it found my the servers so...myth busted.

Why do people always attack mobs that I have claimed? What am I missing? I find it so fucking annoying.

You hate free help? They get quest items or w/e they need too if they do enough damage.

Has anyone ever come back from the oblivion of no server thing without having had to restart the client?

Yes, I have seen it come back. I know it gets annoying to see the server-list msg pop back up so fast each time. I try for 5 mins then walk away for an hour and come back.

I will note, it takes longer for it to time out when you first start the client (for me), so it might actually be waiting longer for a response than when you stay in the client.

It doesn't negatively impact you in any way as far as gameplay and rewards go. If they do ~30% damage to a mob that isn't claimed to them they will get drops and XP from it the same as you do just for claiming it in the first place.

Other than having troubles getting on my EU Server character (Funny how it's almost never my V1 character I don't want to use...) the fun factor in the game wore off and it's now feeling pretty boring. So far the only real mission I've had to stay on my feet with was the Ifrit fight.

The dungeon design of every dungeon before Haukke is boring as fuck. My friend referred to Halatali as "the most dungeony dungeon of all time". And then you get to Toto-rak, and a new champion of mediocre design appears.

Also, fate grinding has literally turned every tank's brain into mush. I can't pug any dungeons past Halatali, because tanks don't know about AoE threat, and my piddly Cure I's make me rip mobs off them.

By AoE threat, do you mean using Flash? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I just haven't done any tanking in a game for years. GW2 doesn't count since there isn't a holy trinity build like in typical MMOs.

Also another annoyance, though minor is the indication you get when an enemy is about to use AoEs. The indication seems off a bit since I know I stepped out of bounds of the AoE, but it still registered as hitting me. Maybe due to latency because of congestion?

But Halitali did something totally important. Where the previous ones drove home "kill the boss adds", it changes that to "kill the adds or something mildly discomforting happens".

Unless we're talking about aesthetics too then yeah it's dungeony as hell.

I was finally able to run my log in script for about 10 minutes on 2 of my PCs. Then got nailed with NA/EU server down...

Fucking done for now, Try to log in so many times then suddenly get no NA/EU list..then my start button is grayed out. After that gets sorted its just back to 1017 for about 20 attempts before there's no list again. Just fucking bring down the servers every 4 hrs or something so the people who are afk get dropped.

Like, using flash to establish threat on pull, or Marauders using their AoE damage ability spam for the first part of a fight to get some decent threat. When a tank is made of paper/doesn't use defensive CDs properly, I have to spam heal them or they'll die in three hits. If they don't use CDs, and don't bother doing AoE damage, I manage to pull threat easily (even as a healer). You'd think with all the fate grinding people do, all they would use is AoE shit, but nooooo.
