Found a macro program that works for me, just let it spam login attempts while I go do other shit and come back to myself logged in each time. Thank god.

This. I pay attention when the dialogue is not LITERALLY "bring me 5 bear asses", but for just that I zone the fuck out.

The only cutscenes I have willingly skipped are the GC pep rallies because I was super paranoid about getting disconnected at the time and I figured it wasn't much different from the 1.0 pep rallies.

Got queued TWICE but got a damn 2002 while connecting both times. Riked the relog when my sound cut out, enemies became invisible to me, and inventory icons wouldn't load. Fml.
